I have noticed some folks here are having some virus problems with their computers. Steve Gibson has a cool web site that will probe all the ports on your computer and let you know if you are vulnerable to intruders.

Turgrass...appreciate the site!!! Gave me a huge education on internet connections which I admittly don't know a lot about.

I am curious what you scored on the first two tests;

FILE SHARING --- I was fanastically protected

COMMON PORTS ---- I had three "Stealths" and the rest "closed"

The only protection I'm running is Norton anti-virus..no firewalls

HP pav. 7975 with satellite connection
