Wichita St +7 over Manhattan
Shockers are a bunch of talented players that will give MC big time matchup problems.Mahattan is the best in the MAAC[although Niagara is close] But Wichita is the best in the Mizzou Valley.MC has Flores and he is still the best player in NYC.Holmes,Benton,Kono, and the new transfer Mulligan are solid players.MC plays in little old Draddy gym which seats about 3,000.
Bobby G's kid play tough defense and try to get Flores into the action on every series.
But the Shockers have Burns who is one of the top gds in the Valley.Howard is another stud who is the fav to win Pl of the yr in the Valley.He also is considered one of the top 5 defensive players in the nation.Kampman at 6'8 and Miller at 6'10 will give Holmes and benton problems in the paint.
I see this game very close and it wouldn't "shock" me one bit if the Shockers win this outright.They are a great underdog road team lyr.
Hoftra +8 over Johnnies
Pride and johnnies are both playing bad.Johnnies own Hof going 22-1.But Johnnies are having shooting problems.They struggled vs Stoney Brook the other nite.[but the Brook is a good team] Hill and Ingram are two 5'10 and 5'11 starting gds.Both can fly and run but are out of control a lot.Cuffe is solid and Grady'I didn't mean to strangle her" Reynolds had 26 pts in a breakout game vs Stoney.But he turned his ankle late in that game and is sore.
Jarvis is having big time problems on the team.Shaw got busted for smoking pot the other nite with Hattan.
Pride has Walker and inside gibson who are doing pretty good.Adeleke who was 2nd in the nation lyr in rebounds is lost.has played terrible.Worse then my last 2 night trying to pick winners.Rivera and Souffrant are gds that might be able to stay will Hill and co.Rads and Keiza add depth and scoring.
Adeleke fouled out the other nite vs Md.If he wakes up the Pride has a shot of upsetting the Johnnies.
Nc St +5 over Michigan...think Pack could win this game outright.
Wisky +4 over Maryland..hate going against Terps at home.But lyr Terps were 18-7 as favs but were 10-15 ats.And look who they are playing.Wisky plays defense,shoots FT's,rebounds and don't turn the ball over.Harris and Owens carry them
Illi +1.5 over NC...Illi can score inside or outside.Powell,Williams Ausgustine,Smith 7'2 and of course "Dee"..NC has some players out.Think Tar heels are in trouble.
Iona -20 over Loy Md
Iona loaded with shooters,gds,penetrators,etc.Williams,Burtt,Smith,McCul,Solivar,etc,etcThey should be able to blow Loy out of New Rochelle.But do they have enough basketball to go around.
Fairfield -10 over Fordham
Stags loaded.coming off big Johnnies win.Rams can't score.Thompson the 6'10 kid is domonating inside.Throw in Deng and the 2 quick midgets gds in Todd and Goode.Bell is scoring..Blowout
