My personal opinion is the Kings should unload Webber, he has not stepped up and gotten them where they expected him to, he has complained, his play is very lackluster, just to start a list... Not counting the end of the game three that went in and out, he missed a dunk which capped off his night and his stint with the Kings.....UNDERACHEIVEMENT! But that is just my humble opinion, thought I would start a poll to see what people think...

Should Kings trade Webber or Should they keep him?

And if they trade him, who should they try for in return?

p.s. 0/1/2 others can be on both or either side...

I could easily see the LOGO trading Pau and Stro for C Web. Mr West will make an eye-popper this off season whether it is C Web or Kobe i don't know. Pau would give Sac another foreigner, just what they need:D

I would trade him for anything I can get including any cheerleaders, water boys, an ex mj'er named high roller, or trainers. He's always been a solid pro, but somehow got grouped into the elite or superstar group which he never should have been. He put up decent numbers on a high scoring team, but never really had too many clutch moments and was always a headache. He never put the team in front of himself. They played a million times better without him in the past. He couldn't hold the jock straps of the shaqs, duncans, garnetts, kobes, etc. in the league.
For some reason he makes a ridiculous amount of money which no other team will give him. If you are a kings fan you are dreaming if you think you can get brand or amare stoudamire for him. You might be able to get houston or peirce. Maybe hamilton would be a good trade so him and rasheed can enjoy each others company in the east.
The best trade would be vince carter so the two most overrated pros of all time can be traded for each other.

just my thoughts.

I'm not a Carter fan but the potential he has is absolutely amazing. I normally save the overrated tag for someone who is not as talented or as good as people think. That doesn't apply to Carter, he is more an underachiever then a over rated player. I don't think the Kings are at all better off with out Webber, he is one of the reasons they have been going deep into the playoffs the last few years. His problem is just being injury prone and Sacramento has no choice but to learn to play with out him. I don't see how people think he is a negative to the Kings, it's just that he isn't reliable.

I think Webber needs to step up like Reggie Miller did and officially take the franchise off of his shoulders. The problem is that there is not a superstar on that team to pass the torch to. The Kings are a great TEAM, but to be great in the NBA you must have a superstar. I think the most likely candidate for the Kings is Bibby, but I don't think you can run a team on his talents alone.

The next problem is that the Kings are too good to get high draft picks. I think it would serve them well to trade up to get one of the prep players coming into the league this year.

Just a few thoughts.

Not a big Webber fan, but the injury obviously hurt his play. Plus the injury to Bobby Jackson IMO proved huge in not having these Kings advance. As much as you'd like to blame Webber for the Kings loss I believe this was a team loss. Throw in Adelman dropping the ball in properly balancing Webber's playing time with his team, it seems he was forced into the lineup at times when he didn't have to be, and the Kings are faced with an exit from the playoffs.

Also I believe not too many takers in the Webber arena, he will stay in Sacramento to see if a healthy Chris Webber will make a difference for next season. IMHO.

Let me start out by saying I don't know squat about the NBA,
having said that, living in SoCal, during the season there were
little hints about Kobe dissatisfied with playing second fiddle
to Shaq, and hints that he may jump ship next year to get on a
team he could be the franchise on, plus rumors that this may be
Jackson's last season with LA, plus rumors that Kobe's wife
wants to stay in Cali, plus rumors that Sac was interested, and
given Webber's huge salary and Kobe's huge salary, don't rule
out a possible trade with these two teams after the dust settles
from the playoffs, the trial, the management shakeups (maybe),
and last but certainly not least, the NBA (WWF) soap opera to
some how salvage this sport which quite frankly is disgusting.

No chance in hell Kobe would go to Sacramento. He is such an ego maniac he wants to be on a big stage. Although they are a decent team and the Lakers bitch, they arent a grand stage. They are probably 15th or 16th in the league as far as media cities are concerned. I think he'll stay in LA, but he might head to New York, or even the Bulls to follow after Mike. If he doesnt stay with LA, hes going to the East where he will have a much easier shot making the finals. Zero chance he goes to Sacramento. I don't want Webber here anyway, let him take his whiny attitude elsewhere.

BDB, yes I also cry Dodger Blue, am actually SHOCKED they jumped out of the gate the way they did, as like every one
else, did not at all like the idiot from Brooklyn with a nickle in
his pocket borrowing the whole bankroll to get this team,
who knows, Brooklyn Dodgers may come back, but it is what it is
so I put on my Blue with my 12 year old and we go watch the
big boys play ball, some day he wants to be a big boy and that's
what it's all about. THINK BLUE!!!!!!

Surprisingly, I don't see this mentioned very much when discussing Kobe's impending testing of the free-agent market, but isn't there also a chance he will be playing in the Colorado State Penitentiary League next year?

Let CWebb be healthy for one entire season, and he'll be the best in the league at his position. He has been hurt so much, and currently, he is way too fat.

I think he should stay. If he gets back into playing shape before the 04/05 season and he doesn't have injuries again, he's the man.
