I bet the Red Wings -160 to win the Stanley Cup. Bet $160 to win $100

Considering betting the Av's +170 in game 7. Bet $100 to win $170

This would basically cancel the bet. ( I know, I'm not considering the chance of Carolina winning the cup.)

I have not watched this series much but it appears that the games have been about even except last night's.

Any opinions if I should hedge by betting the AV's or let it ride?

thanks

i know you mentioned you are not considering the carolina factor but in my opinion you have to....say you do put the money on the avs...detroit wins ...then loses in the cup finals...you have doubled you losses...i think you should stick with youre play...you played it for a reason...good luck in whatever you do...COOZ

Here is another option for you - short some shares of Detroit at 70 at WSEX. If they win the next game then you can probably buy some back at 90 anyways but if they lose you win $45 per share.

FWIW, this series has been up and down. When it appears Detroit has the upper hand then Colorado wins and when it appears Colorado has the Upper hand Detroit wins.

Actually you stated all the games were close Except last night but in reality last night's game was also a virtual push. Had Roy held on to the puck instead of dropping it into his net they could still be playing. Hasek had his first good game all series while Roy was just average. But Roy is a much better goalie and in game 7's that usually makes the difference. Not only that but I don't believe Colorado ever lost a game 7. Personally I 'm betting on Colorado in this one FWIW.
