I dont think Slick Willie is too discriminating with his choices of women

Hillary is for anything that involves more government. She is power hungry, and thats what drives her. Just saw that rant for the first time today. Better hide the faint of heart when Queen Jezebel runs for prez. Socialized medicine coudl be coming...who knows what will be after that. Trend has been to let the government take over everything the past few decades. Pretty soon we all will be working for the government.

DJV If you think Hillary's healthcare was right on think again as our great gov of Ky thought it would be wise to try out her stratagies. One year later every Insurance company but 3 pulled out of health care market here.Let me give you 2 of her beauts for instance.
Unlimited benefits for aids.
Results: we had huge influx of residents moving to Ky from D.C. and California. They finally stopped that BS.
Same premium for people regardless of health plus only 6 month waiting period for pre-existing conditions.
Great in theory but whos gonna underwrite it.What company could stay solvent when no one had to apply for insurance "until" they were going to use it.
Only good thing about her plan was it sounded good to the people but totally impracticle but of course sounding good to the people is any politicians concern.

Another point on social healthcare.Did you ever wonder why Canada being our next door neighbor had so many deaths related to SARS and we had none.Coincidence?Think again.

Chapman had good point. You want liberals running this country, take a look at CA conditions, enough said.

Considering 9-11 funding 2 wars ect I think the economy is OK,however in truth we won't know real results till a few years from now. Kind oflike Clintons last years and those that followed--thats if you believe a president has that much influence on economy. I will say I do not go along with Bushes budget. It would be fine if he offset excess expenditures with cuts elsewhere and as much as I hate taxes I could do with out a cut especially till they get this terrorist thing under control. I don't think it will have one iota stimulating economy.Tax breaks for small business would have more impact in my view.

Now my friend I have a question. I have seen you remark twice that you thank Clinton for your retirement. What did he contribute if I might ask. If it has anything to do with the economy you might be thanking Bill Gates and those that were responsible for the tech boom. I have never known any president or politician from either party that were responsible for helping economy, however several from both parties have been detrimental to it. The only people the gov for most part help are those that can not or will not help themselves at the expense of those that do.

DTB,

great post, agree with you 100%. don't think that the tax cut, as planned, will stimulate the economy. also am against universal healthcare because that will cause taxes to be increased.but think that we should have some kind of care for those people who need it, such as the people who have been layed off, etc.

Great posts. The cost of health care is completley out of control. Something has to be done about it. I think that this could become the issue of the next campaign.

anyone who needs health care in this country gets it...

doctors provide it....if you can't pay, most doctors will eat the bill....most places have county hospitals for the poor too -- these are far from 5-star hotels, but they care for the sick there...

pharmaceuticals know this too...thats what the "free samples" are all about...doctors give those out to most who can't afford anything else...

If health care gets socialized, you will see it go down the toilet in a hurry. Just like any other government service.

Once again it is the middle class or the working man who has to pay for this "free care" given out by the hospitals by paying a higher percentage of their wages on health care. Call it what you like, but when they take x amount of dollars out of my paycheck that is like a tax in that it is income that I earn but I do not control.
Health insurance is not a luxury it is something we need and once again it is the middle class paying a higher percentage of his salary for a basic need. Another reason why any tax break should go to the middle class working people of this country. The fat cats don't need anymore welfare.

DTB Im not going to say Hillary had the perfect system put togeather. She tryed to bring to everyones attetion something has to be done. At least get started on it. Our system is not so hot right now. The increase are nuts. Our drug prices are way out of line. More employers are puting higher cost purden on there employees. So not all is well. Unemployment out of site.
Mr Clinton was in office when I saw gains in my reiterment accounts like never before. He was there he gets the credit. He for things that went wrong gets that credit to. Thats how it's work. Who is there cant just take the good. So far under Bush the good is very week. He's got two more years to win my vote a second time. He has lots of work to do other then war with the likes of Iraq. He does some good things I will be right there saying good job. Only on dude I voted for in my life that I will not say that about. Nixon. He stunk.
