Among Libtards!!
way to go. 7-13 from the line....kind of makes that 36 look a little less spectacular in my eyes...piece of chit.

Had Syracuse as well...tough situation as missing 6 free throws and two critical ones at the end really hurt, but at the same time, he scores 36 of Syracuse's 66 points...great shooting night from the field, had 8 rebounds to lead the team..if he doesn't have one of his best games of the season, Butler wins relatively easy. Tough break, hopefully we get one our way next time.

I agree to an extent....he did have a good game as far as putting up points and keeping the 'cuse in the game and giving them a chance to win.....however, someone who people label as a "shooter", shouldn't miss 6 of 13 throws. Maybe preston should look at caron butler of UConn.......12-12 from the line yesterday....many in clutch spots. It is doing the little things that separate the good from the great....and tonight preston was good but not great!! Thanks for the words of encouragement, it would be so nice to be on the right side of one of these soon.....good luck to you!!

I had Butler -2 so i am the last to complain but it sure looked fishy to me.

Preston is normally a very good free throw shooter. When he was going through his slump earlier, FT's are the one thing that he was able to score with.

Funny how he missed them when the game was on the line both time. 2 technicals towards end of regulation tha could have really given SU a cushion and then two at end of OT.

Maybe Shump has been reading all those draft reports that have him going undrafted and he decided to pick up some spending money for himself and his kids before he packs off to Europe for his pro career.

Granted, it he was shaving points he could have just let Butler kick their ass and draw a lot less suspection then missing gimme's down the stretch, but that looked strange to me none the less.

Guys,
Let me preface this by saying I had Butler last night and narrowly won. But Shumpert was dead on last night. I watched the game and both of those FTs were halfway down and amazingly came out. One was like a repeat of the other. He didn't shoot them badly, back rimming or side rimming. Shumpert was in the zone all night the same way he was vs. St. Bonny. His 3-point touch is back and Syracuse was foolish in not pumping the ball to him. Selfish Deshaun Williams would have to get his every once in a while and go one on two to try and score and throw possessions away. If the Orange patiently ran the offense through Shumpert, they would've won easily, because Butler had no match for Shumpert. He either got scored or fouled on nearly every touch. I blame Boeheim for that. Defensively, the Syracuse zone stymied Butler in the 2nd half and Butler was literally just passing the ball around at the top of the key 30 feet from the basket for 30 seconds each possession before they would pump up a desperation 3. Butler had zero inside game and couldn't even pass the ball to the interior. They were staggering down the stretch and if it wasn't for a few big individual plays (especially the small guard on Butler, Jackson I think it was, who was smart enough to pump fake on a three-pointer with under a minute left and draw a foul and nail all FTs), Syracuse would've gotten the win despite playing atrociously offensively.
Best of luck to all in the future and I think Syracuse might be a decent play at Richmond. Hopefully the Big East bias won't come into favor and Syracuse can get a few points.
Good luck to all.

I'm a huge orange fan, and I like shumpert, but i feel that his poor play in the 2nd half of the season cost the orange a tourney bid.
Look for the orange to be much stronger next year, as Forth will come into his own, and williams will be first team big east. Pace Theus and others will only continue to improve also.
