I have been battling a horrible cold since the day after Christmas and it is has yet to subside. For 4 days I didn't eat a single thing. I've taken a combination of 32409350495 hot bath/showers, complied with the medicine given to me but today I wake up and my right eye socket is like super sensitive. When I cough it hurts when I blink it hurts. Damn it! I am so sick of being sick.

If anyone has any advice, any at all, I am open ears.

I did not envision 2010 starting this way, it's driving me mad that all I do is sleep and watch tv. I can't stand either right now. Ok rant over, I need to lay down.

Waiting. showers etc. will not help much!

went to the doctor, got right in. mass amounts of drugs were prescribed and drink a ton of gatoraide for the electrolytes. at the pharmacy was told if i didn't have insurance one set of pills would have been $16 a piece, es muy loco.

see ya in ten days, i need to get back to work.

You may have to break down and buy those antibiotics.. It may take another month or more to get rid of it on your own.. Ask your doc for something cheaper.. Otherwise fluids is all you can do.. Try to eat soup and if you are weak get some energy bars to get you through the day.. One of those babies can last a long way if you cant eat much

Give it another week. If it's like mine, you'll EVENTUALLY come around. These bugs have been especially prolonged this year.

You don't need no stinking pills. Patience and vitamin C.

Ended up going to the doctors afterall. He prescribed me some pills called Lexaquin. My right eye socket was throbbing and it made it almost unbearable to open and close it, so sensitive as well.

I came home took the daily pill and a couple of ibuprofens and took a nap. When I woke up I felt like a new man.

Day 3 has come and gone. I've had 3 normal meals in the last 7 days but I'm pretty sure my body is in shut down mode as I haven't lost any weight, perhaps a pound. It sucks being in the house all day 24/7. Can't wait for this to be over.

i`m going tomorrow.....sinuses are terrible...feels like the right eye has a hood over it(course i have holes in my retina..the sinuses exacerbate it).......

sinus infections suck...
