They refs had LA in the bonus in the 4th with 10:10 remaining. No way a team can overcome a deficit when every whistle the last 10 minutes results in 2 free-throws. I think LA shot 23 free throws in the 4th.
My whole problem is the meaningless fouls the Lakers get in the first 2-4 mintues of every 4th quarter. This quickly gets them to the line on every backcourt, over the back, away from the ball whistle that makes it harder for a team to actually get over the hump and win a game.
Look, we all know that almost every call is a subjective call. It's the subjectivity that I question. When the refs blow the whistle for every reach-in and moving-screen on one end yet let everything reach, clutch, push etc...go on the other end that calls the integrity of the game into question for me. Especially when the same team gets the benefit, every game, and in every 4th quarter.
Either throw the whistles out in the 4th and let them play a bit or change the bonus to a 1-1 situation or make the bonus at the 7 foul mark. I'm getting sick of watching teams make 5-6 baskets in the 4th quarter but shoot 20+ free throws, it's just fun.
