Guys......
I have money on Seattle to win the AL West. If baseball is done for the year on August 30, will I get my money refunded? Does it matter what place Seattle is in on August 30?
Answers and thoughts appreciated.

I too have a future bet with Reds over 78 games. According to my book..."Must play 162 games"...I know its not the same type of future bet, but I would imagine that they would cancel it since they wouldnt be playing 162 games.

Over/Under totals will be cancelled. But, note: Some shops have been paying out earlier on totals, a welcomed move on their part) not waiting until the end of the season to square the books. It is probably too early right now for many teams to actually be locked in a win or lose situation...........but Aug 30 is a different story. Stag, I would think that you will get paid on a Seattle win in the division if no more games will be played. I would think the house would want to pay out on those bets. If they didn't pay Seattle, they would have to return or cancel out all the division wagers. Then they don"t make any $$ for that segment of their prop bets. They arent going to get killed with Seattle.....odds were too low in April. GL THE HITMAN

I now know that books in Las Vegas will be refunding all future bets should a strike occur.
Do you think the same will hold true for Canbet and other offshores?
Maybe I'll just call and ask them. Just wanted to get your opinions before calling.
With the way the Mariners have played since June and with Anaheim and Oakland on fire, I actually wouldn't mind a refund right now!
