MY picks today are Rams and Chiefs....
I think arguments can be made for both sides of both gms
BUT FOR ME,
Saints struggled last wk, took a gutsy coach's call to get em going, dropped pass by Jeffrey, etc for them to escape w/a win.. at home, after resting!
Rams offensive and defensive lines had focus! Opened monster holes, gave Goff time..
AND I think McVay is maybe the Best play designer (Kc's pretty great too).. and maybe Talib in the def bkfld helps the Rams get a few more stops..
RAMS are my pick ~ 38-27
Both teams have great kickers... maybe the OVER on the longest fg is a solid prop too..?
Chiefs/Pats...
I know Pats backers (and there are many!) say that the road record doesn't matter.. blah blah... but reality is, KC's defense looked pretty awesome last wk, throwing around an offensive line that had handled JJ Watt and J. Clowney the week before... applying lots of pressure to a mobile A. Luck.. this wk it's a far less mobile Brady.
Is Brady smart bk there in the pocket? yes
does he make quick reads..? yes
will they score over 20 pts.. ? yes I thnk so
But how about the Pats defense vs KC..
say what you want about how crappy the Chargers were last wk (and how stupid they were to travel bk and forth instead of staying the wk after beating Balt!)...
Chargers still put up 28 pts against a maybe less interested Pats Defense, yes.. but still.
Chiefs won't come off the gas pedal... their misdirections, excessive speed w/Hill.. escapability w Mahomes... and they'll have something else up their sleeves (Andy Reid is a great coach too!)...
I think it'll be a great game, but I think home field (better performance by KC, and less than last wk by Pats) matters here, and Chiefs find a way in a shootout..
KC... 44-33
I'm trying to decide if there's ANY way the gms don't get to 50 (at least)... weather looks great in kc... heated field too...
Top 4 Offensive tms in the league... Both gms OVER (but KC stronger over to me)
good luck guys!
enjoy the gms!!
