Site speed

Has anyone else seen a huge decrease in site speed here? Ever since the new servers were put in place, it takes up to 10-12 seconds to load pages here. I don't visit the site during the weekends, so I shouldn't be experiencing peak time problems.

Jack, are your reports showing anything?

approx. 1.5-2.0 sec to load page currently...

just did a search for new posts and came back with this result:

Search took 1.21 seconds.

dawgball, most people report much faster. same with me. i'm sure you have, but if you haven't, clear all cookies and temp files then you should be good to go.

Speed was a problem early on but has gone away. Not super fast but very good.

What's weird is that I never had a problem with the speed until the changeover. I thought it would work itself out, but it has not to this point. I pretty much live on the internet through the week since my business is web-based applications.

Very odd.

dawg, please remind me after the 3rd and i'll have my hosting company's best tech find out what the problem is for you. either bump this up on the 4th or send me an email. sorry for the long time frame but he's on vacation and i'd rather he look at it for you/me.

also, try to squeeze in a few days for yourself on superbowl weekend and come watch the game on sunday and play some golf on saturday with us in vegas

no problem on the speed. it's not like it has kept me off the site.

as far as the sb party goes, my 6 month old son (and his mother) thought the suggestion was pretty funny. :tongue
