Here's what I'm guessing. This is a leopard, so this guy was on an African safari. He shot and injured this leopard and tracked it to this cave where it holed up. He foolishly started poking around with only a pistol that he obviously didn't know how to use. The injured leopard attacked him and kicked his ass.
No, I don't hope he died. :facepalm: hunting is legal, and I'm sure it brings a lot of income to the local Africans. Also, this cat could have been killing livestock, and this guy was trying to kill it for that reason. :shrug: you have to have more info for me, but I'm going to lean no, I don't hope he died.

I have alot of problems with this, and on both sides, as I used to hunt...
As SixFive commented, the whole story needs to be told before judgement can be passed. For sure you would not find my brass balls reaching into a cave where some cat like that is with what looks like a .22 :sadwave:
