We were in port with the Oasis. I think it's even bigger. Nole?

Allure is an Oasis class ship so identical in size.

I did find this...

although Allure is 50 millimetres (2.0 in) longer than Oasis, making her technically the largest despite the fact that both ships have identical superstructures.

They are huge mothers!

My wife and I were on the Oasis for our 15th Anniversary and yes it is huge!!

Been on many cruises but Royal is the best I believe

Can't wait to go on the Quantum of the Seas when it comes out (their new class)

Have never and will never go on a cruise. I just don't see the appeal- packed in like sardines, eating until you explode, what am I missing?

I can understand why people feel like you do about cruises. My wife & I have been on at least 8 cruises from small to large ships ( small is my favorite ) . Been on most of the cruise lines except Carnival.
I'm close to 67 yrs. old I like to drop my bags, not having to decide every day where I'm going to eat ( no one forces you to gorge). We went on a Med. cruise 12 days.with 3 days on land in Barcelona, I would have never been able to navigate trains, hotels to see a taste of 5 countries. Our next one is Alaska. You are not missing anything if you've never been on one.

Those are good points I can see the Mediterranean and Alaska- I don't get the Caribbean ones.

I would like to do a Caribbean Cruise- PaSprint wants to do the Alaskan Cruise. Hopefully in the next year or so we can do the Alaskan one. Our big vacations have to be during the winter months since summer is our peak time.

I have been on three. One to the Med, it was okay I guess. One to Alaska, it was cool, I enjoyed Alaska. The latest was a river cruise down the Rhine, Danube, and a couple others that lasted a month and 16 countries so it was great. The fact that I went with my Mom made it perfect but I did enjoy the river cruise and small ship way more than any other.

Hope this helps,

Alaska cruises and winter dates for traveling don't mix very well. Might be a tad chilly in Alaska. Last cruises depart the 2nd week of Sept and then that's it until the following May.

Caribbean during the winter months, now that's a different story!

Yeah- after I posted that he came in the office and he said "You dumbass- Do you know how cold it will be in Alaska in the winter??" Our long/big vacations always have to happen in the winter because of summer being our busy time. Summer trips are usually just a Friday off and the weekend and back at it on Monday. I wasn't even thinking of what the weather would be like up there in the winter.
