i think sleep and stress are related in some ways.

more stress, more sleep cause of the "im fucked" syndrome.

less stress, don't need as much sleep cause your ready to go like a 3yr old race horse to make your life better when opportunities present themselves.

I have to get up for work at 3 am but there's no way I could do that and bet on/watch sports so I usually get by on 2 2 or 3 hour naps per day. One in the early afternoon and one at around midnight. I sleep a full 8 hours straight on my days off. I know it's far from ideal, but I never feel tired so I guess it works for me.

a day off? I might have to look into that :toast:

On the course!
I hate to tell you this, but alcohol is one of the most dangerous drugs there is.

So not only do you use a drug, you use the most harmful of them all. :sadwave:

I drink, so I'm not trying to put you down. I just hate the way society treats alcohol as if it is not a drug. This leads to the ruination of so many lives when it is thought of in this manner.

Kind of a piss poor take away from that chart. You might want to replace the word harmful, with abused.

That's kind of the point. Alcohol is treated so lightly by society that it is the most harmful because it is the most abused.

Do you really want to live to be 100?? Maybe when I am old I will think differently, but right now I definitely don't want to live to be that old.

Plus, think about it this way. If you are part of the *crowd* that is not sleeping very much now, think about how much more of life you are experiencing in your prime years. All these people sleeping 8 hours a day are missing out on things they could be doing instead. You are making up hours. Later in life, they will have to live to be 90+ just to make up the waking hours we experienced by the age of 80!!
