Sleeper teams to make Sweet 16, Elite 8, or Final 4.......

I think Arkansas, Marquette, UAB, Cinci, and Florida State all have a good shot of atleast making the sweet 16. I think Ark. has won 5 or 6 straight, Marq. is tough when Novak is on, UAB can run somebody's ass off, Cinci has good size and toughness, and Florida St. is athletic as hell and can play pretty good D.

Finally someone says marquette!!!!!! They are sweet sixteen sleeper of the year.

Any team from a small conference that has a legit big man putting up some serious numbers has little chance to make any noise 16 or better. Every big school has a legitimate big man that can take care of a small conference big man who does not play good big men night in and night out. Small fast hard fighting small conference teams are the only ones i would pick.
Not a waterproof rule for mid majors but has been a very strong trend past years for me. Sorry i dont have another sleeper to add to this board. Really need to see the matchups to pick sleepers.

Teams like Bucknell, NIowa, Bama, and Nevada all play tough ball and arent talked about much and present major mis matches for very strong teams. But can be exposed by better teams that matchup well with them.

when you watch uconn play it seems like they are so much better than everyone. Even when they play villanova, it seems like they only try when they need too. For them not to win it all would be a huge upset.

I think Washington has a chance to sneak in under the radar. They have a great full-court press and really hurt teams that struggle against pressure defenses. It's a long shot, but that's my darkhorse.

Remember, these are sleeper teams that just make that level of play, and I know Villanova is a No 1 seed :brows:
