Making this right now...
Using a 6-quart slow cooker, put 5 chicken breasts on the bottom(spray cooker with non-stick stuff 1st). They can over-lap of course. Place a slice of Swiss cheese on each breast.
I love dressing so I used an entire 14 oz bag of Pepperidge Farm.
Chopped and sauteed 2 medium onions and 4 celery stalks and mixed in with dressing.
Poured 3/4 of a can of chicken broth in there just to moisten it up a little.
Pour the dressing mixture over the chicken.
Finally the best part, simmer 2 cans of mushroom soup, 3/4 cup of milk and 3/4 stick of butter(your call on that...no more than a stick though) until the soup is well....soupy.
Pour that over the dressing mixture. Be sure to cover it all. Then I pour a little turkey gravy over the dressing for a little more flavor. It'll seep down.
Put on low for 8-10 hours.
Obviously you have the idea. If you use a smaller slow cooker, just adjust as you think.
It's the shit I tell ya!
Not my ideal dinner after the Masters( I wanted rib-eyes) but Momma wanted it and I need to keep Momma happy!
If you try it, let me know what you think.
