like many of us recently i suffered through a terrible slump. i would look back at the scores from the previous day and shake my head. there was no way that some match-ups should ever have produced those scores. the dogs were eating my dinner!
so i modified my system yesterday slightly trying to get over the hump.
basically i gathered my picks for the day. 6 or 8 including the O/U's. then i looked for the biggest fave at the latest time slot. yesterday that would have been Atlanta, which didn't pay quite as well as Seattle.
then i placed all my picks as a two game parlay with that fave (the odd 3 game parlay as well). honestly believing that Atlanta would kick the Mets a$$ anyway.
that included Clev., Cubs, Hou., Minn., Col., and Cubs over 8.5
so i was 3 and 3 and down on juice (if not parlayed)
normally you would be done for the day, but i was parlayed with a huge fave. and all were still alive at 8pm.
the beauty of being married to a fave is the dog you are up against. dogs can be such cheap dates, and for the price of a McRonnie meal i use able to hedge it so as to produce a small profit at the end of the day regardless of outcome.
i also threw in a Mets, Texas and Seattle. The Mets as a hedge play, Texas and Seattle because i thought they should win.
i think this description is pretty clear and the method understandable.
comments appreciated.
