Early PLays:

Umass +4
Ms. State Pk'em
Kentucky +7.5
Western Michigan +9

These are the plays above that I played when lines were released.

5dimes put the lines up early this week and we have had some line movement but nothing earth shattering.

Totals:
Bryant Under 39.5: Bucknell is undefeated and playing good ball but they have not played the toughest of schedules. Neither team are going to be able to run the ball as both teams have shutdown rush defenses. I think we are going to see bryant get back on track and I think Bucknell will have trouble moving the ball. Bryant only allows 3rd down conversions at a rate of 28% and I think that will matter. Weather could be a small factor here as there is a chance of rain. I think we see a tight game. 18-13 or something like that.

Norfolk State Under 43.5: They are going to control this game with their defense. Savannah man not score but the thing is that Norfolk will not score much either. I could see a 22-0 game.

Montana Under 45.5: i believe Montana could shut UND out. The UND defense is solid while the Montana offense is not the greatest. I see a one sided game with a final of 31-6

Charlotte Over 52.5: Gardner Webb is decimated by injuries in their LB corp. They are playing a bunch of young kids and this Charlotte offense is just not the team to cut your teeth with. Charlotte plays a wide open spread as does GW. GW is said that they are going to try and run the ball to run clock.. but so did Charleston Southern last week and look what they were able to do. I believe we see a wide open game: 37 to 31

Morehead State O/67.5: Wide open game and I believe it will be a track meet. Campbell is probably the better defensive team but they have a nice spread offense and see this game being in the 70's easily.

South Dakota State Under 48.5: I believe defenses will rule the game as well as the rushing offense of Zenner. ISU is no slouch but I could see a 27-20 type game at the most.

TN State under 47: This game is going to be a war. First team to 20 will win.

Furman Under 48.5: The palladins are changing QB and going with another true frosh PJ Blazowski or something like that. He did spark them.. sort of vs Western Carolina last week but not extensively. Coastal Carolina is a vicious defensive team. They beat Elon last week 31-3 and SCSU 30-3... I expect this game to be very similar. Furman defense is good but their offense cannot stay on the field long enough to give them a break.

Sides:
Stony Brook +7.5: They had a GUT WRENCHING loss last week for homecoming. But it seems they have recovered and they have good spirits. This is the start of conference and while they know that making the playoffs is a long shot there is some optimism. The RB Bedell is solid and I believe he will find running room vs Towson. Towson offense is decent but I believe they will find life hard vs. SB.

Northwestern State +16: This one is not for the week at heart. SLA is a very good team and they have Oregon transfer Bennet at QB. NWS had SLA beat last year until they allowed 21 points in 10 minutes. They remember that game and are focused for this one. They have had it circled for since last year.

Indiana State +7.5: Mike Perrish is playing great ball. UNI is the perennial MVFC powerhouse but I believe ISU is being overlooked a little here. Not being given any respect. The Sycamores take care of the ball, they can throw the ball very well, they have a very good run defense, and they have played a tough schedule already this season. I believe they are a live dog here.

Small PLays:
South Dakota State -3: Illinois State is a good team but they have not played anyone yet to really compare against. This is a HUGE game and I am stoked to see it: I would say this game is equal to the LSU vs AUburn game just for FCS.
TN State -1: TN State defense is FOR REAL! SEMO is a good team but they have had some injuries and they have a crucial one at WR. I believe this is going to be a war but I think the Tigers beat the Eagles.
Liberty pk'em: I believe Turner Gill will have his guys ready. They were looking ahead last week when they played Indiana State to this game. The coach of Richmond used to coach at Liberty.

Eastern Washington over 78.5: If the Idaho State offense that showed up last week vs Sac State shows up this week then we will see a ton of points.

There is a lot of talk here in Dallas about the SMU program being done away with. Obviously, that is not going to happen but when your dignitaries like Eric Dickerson is saying it should be done you know things are bad. They have scored 12 points in 4 games and one of those was a end of the game hail mary vs UNT. Anyway... ECU has no reason to look a head and there are rumors that the ECU QB may be getting a Heisman campaign coming... So maybe time to show off some more. Plus 1st game in new conference for ECU.

Rutgers -2: I hate Michigan, I don't like Brady Hoke, and I wish Devon Gardner would just move on... I think Rutgers avoids the turn overs and gets the W here. This may be there only win the rest of the season.

Maryland +8: I believe this Maryland team can score 40 points tomorrow thus I believe they are a live dog. Athletic team that likes to take advantage of mismatches and get players in open space... They have good skill players. I like the over also in this one. 45-40

O.k. I am done now. A lot of plays but I did a lot of work this week.

Recap

Recap

Finished 17-12-1 today. Lost all 3 of my small plays and hit 3 of 4 moneyline dogs.

What a day! FCS, FBS... it was just a great day of football.

Today just re-iterated to me that NDSU will lose this season. They were exposed and I believe they are susceptible to Illinois State, South Dakota State and even Youngstown state.

I had some awful beats today. I do not want to bitch and moan but wow: Bucknell under loses but in the game we had a Fake punt for a TD, Fake FG for a TD, a 96 yard run, and a 76 yard pass for td's. Then Gardner Webb finished 27-24 and we missed the over by a 1.5 points... Guess what there were 4 missed FG's in the game. OUCH. Morehead State had it 1st and goal to tie the game at 31 and send it to overtime thus cashing the over and they cannot punch it in. TN State under lost by a FG thanks to a meaningless TD.
Oh well. It was still a very profitable day.

Eastern Washington showed today why they need Quincy Forte... they are just a completely different team and if he is unable to return they will not win the FCS Title... maybe not even win the Big Sky.

Youngstown State vs Missouri State was an awesome game decided by an 81 yard td run in the 2nd quarter.
Illinois State probably looked the best. They absolutely housed SDSU... HOUSED! Tre Roberson and crew went off.
Furman gave Coastal all they could handle but it was not due to a QB change it was due to CCU looking past Furman.
Liberty battled Richmond but the linebacker injuries for Liberty was just too much to overcome. Turner Gill is doing great with this team and I look for this Liberty team to battle in the playoffs and 5 years from now they will be the Old Dominion of FBS.

My record on the year is 54-36-1 doing pretty well with the moneyline dogs as well. I missed some real easy totals today Central Arkansas over and Montana State over... Sorry.

What a Saturday. Just an FYI in FCS the 9,10, 21,23 and 24 all lost. The 1 and 2 ranked teams won by single digits.

Good Night.

And hey Spalding

And hey Spalding

What the hell happened in that Montana vs North Dakota game... HAHAHA! UND returned another INT for Touchdown. I expect UND to beat Portland State as long as they can recover from this loss today. WHAT A GAME!@!

UND is playing very tough defense right now. They just handled both Montana State and Montana pretty good but UND's offense is so bad they keep putting them out on the field in bad spots.

UND should beat Portland State this week. They need this one bad and know it.
