Its called desparation.. he figures they are gonna get the ball back with short field:shrug:
Gave up on his defense with a lead.
it was a smart move win or lose....a coach with some fukin balls.....i like it.
he knew that his defense wouldnt stop them, they hadnt stopped them all game. so you think a 2 pt lead was safe with 4-min. left gbay was a lock to get atleast a fg....if gbay had to drive 80-yards then time left for pitt. to score wouldve been seconds....so he took a shot....1st it was unexpected and there was a good chance to recover.....2nd if you dont recover then you give gbay short field so they score quicker and give your offense more time to score and win the game.
it actually worked to perfection....whats the problem?
one other thing i would love to see happen is a coach to order his defense to allow the other team to score when they have 1st and goal inside the 3 with under 2mins left...instead of wasting time and timeouts..just let em score so your offense has a chance to win it...every fukin moron coach burns his timeouts and time goes by your offense needs to win it or tie it...especially if you have no-timeouts left just let em score...if a fg or td will win it or tie it for you...
i liike a coach that doesnt go by the conventional dumass book....win or lose i liked the call.
