No Shamrock not saying reason entire debt is from war--we had 2 other events that had huge pricetag also--911 and Katrina.

Quite unprobable so many catastrophes would occur in short time frame--however with solid economy these "one time" expenses can be absorbed--case in point effort to pay off 1/2 debt by 08 was accomplished in 06.

However I am right with you on chastising this admin for debt occurred in medicare benefits boost. Not only did we not need the extra load on debt but unlike the above it is an "ongoing escalating debt".

--For GW to harp of getting SSN in check and then add another social expenditure was absolutely insane and would be most significant blunder on this admin in my view.
