it's time for the big game. they're playing for all the marbles. this is it. the matchup we've all been waiting for. ok, enough cliches. i generally suck at the bcs championship game, so i do recommend you fade these plays.
usc (-7) 2 units. i've never been impressed with vince young as a qb and i think he's gonna need to be an accurate qb tonight. usc's defense hasn't been great, but they are fast. at least in theory, he shouldn't be able to make any back-breaking long scrambles. usc will force him to beat them with his arm and i don't think he can do it. he is not an accurate passer. usc has far too many weapons on offense. what do you focus on? the passing game? the inside running game of white? the outside running game of bush? even if you are somehow able to take away 2 of those, the 3rd can beat you by itself. texas should hang around early on pure adrenaline and i'm sure they'll make a big play or two. but usc's superior talent and poise will win the game for them.
one more factor... a fella by the name of... i believe it's scott, on this website... seems like a very reasonable, impartial guy.
anyways, he has spelled out several compelling reasons for usc to win this game. hard to argue with his logic.
