one big play tonight. i expected the line to be about a pick, so getting a few points is a bonus. in fact, i was actually scared that it's a trap, 'cause it looks too easy, but....

tennessee (+2.5) 4 units. tennessee is by far the better team right now. kentucky is not playing well, especially at home. they have yet to cover a conference home game. they are 2-2 at home, with both wins by 2 points. tennessee will be eager to go into rupp arena and get a big win over the wildcats.

this does go against the 'unranked team favored over a ranked opponent' theory, but since the unranked team is kentucky, i'm willing to throw that theory out the window tonight. as i've been saying for a few weeks now... if their jerseys didn't say "kentucky", this line would be several points different. this tennessee team still is not getting much national attention. maybe that will start to change after tonight. happens every year... a team that's not expected to do very well has a great season, but people are very slow to recognize that because they were off the radar to start the season.

leans to baylor and north carolina, but not quite strong enough to recommend 'em.

Do you ever wonder if you're just being a homer? I knew UK would be favored in this one by a few, but don't you think this line is begging for TN $. You have #14 going to Rupp where UK has lost 3 games and should have lost to South Carolina had it not been for a last second 3 by Rondo. It is hard for me to think UK will lose 3 conf. games on their home court. Although, I thought they would never lose 2. I think this is a must win for the cats tonight that could keep them in the race for the SEC east. Someone talk me out of this, because I'm leaning UK to come out of their shell tonight.

eh? a homer? i'm in ny. i've done well going against uk at home this year, and i see no reason to stop. honestly, i really did think this was maybe a trap when i saw the line, but i see only 58% on tenn, so that's not much of a trap. plus, i see a lot of people on this site on uk. so i'm not so worried about it being a trap now.

i think everybody is applying the same logic as you mentioned, but that is the norm when a great program has a down year. people are very slow to catch on.

speaking of looking good... how 'bout dem baylor bears? at the risk of jinxing myself (i ended up putting 1 unit on them), when i saw mizzou as a road fav, i started salivating. but i already had so much invested in tenn, i couldn't pull the trigger on a second big play.
