what a great time of year for college hoops. the normal intensity level gets turned up another notch. for the life of me, i cannot figure out how anybody prefers the nba to college. these kids live and die with every game. alrighty, moving on... haven't seen the lines for most of the tourneys, so i may add some later. way too much chalk to start with...
cincinnati (-2) 3 units. i will continue going against wv. they jumped out to a huge lead against pitt and then barely held on all night. they won't have the emotion of the home crowd and senior night today. the bearcats will shake off their meltdown at SH and take care of business here. kennedy has done a great job and should have been given that job fulltime by now. shame on the cincinnati administration for dragging it out all year.
uconn (-14.5) 2 units. wow, this is way too many points. you'd think everybody would have to take louisville. and that's exactly what's happening. so i gotta lay the lumber and hope uconn can stay focused for at least 30 - 35 minutes. especially without padgett, uconn should dominate inside.
notre dame (-8.5) 2 units. wow, more chalk. depaul coming off their blowout win over 'cuse. and sure enough, i'm seeing 89% on depaul today. well, 'cuse has been poor all year, so that win doesn't really impress me. it just ensures that nd won't overlook them. big day for the fighting irish.
washington (+1.5) 2 units. finally, a dog! after a brief tailspin, the huskies are playing good ball again. they will avenge their 1-point loss to the wildcats back on new year's eve.
vanderbilt (-2) 2 units. this is a tough one. i really like what bruce pearl has done at tennessee. this line just strikes me as funny. should be a pick, i would think. tennessee has lost 3 out of their last 4 though. maybe they've hit the wall.
unc (+6.5) 2 units. i just take the dog every time these two play, and it's worked great so far. the 'heels have been very good on the road this year. this game always comes down to the wire. jj is starting to miss now, and duke can't beat good teams if he's not on his game.
