first nfl posting this year. can't believe i'm making some of these plays, but it seems like the right thing to do.
minnesota (-2.5) 2 units. holy crap, why is this line moving so heavily towards minnesota? does ANYBODY like the vikes? carolina can't possibly start 0-2. i guess delhomme will throw 8 interceptions today, and steady brad johnson leads the vikes to a 2-0 start. VIVA BRAD JOHNSON!!!
philly (-2.5) 1 unit. this one is particularly tough. i was gonna take the giants. and i have learned to NEVER switch sides. so the smart thing for me to do is lay off the game. fortunately for you, my loyal readers, i am NOT smart. seems like the whole world is on the g-men. so, as much as i hate to do it, i gotta take philly. c'mon, mcnabb, can you possibly not suck for a second week in a row?
tampa bay (+4.5) 2 units. tb looked terrible last week at home. atlanta won at carolina. i think the line is overreacting a little to both. tb owns vick. if chris simms can just throw less than 6 INT's, i think the bucs will be ok.
SF (+3) 2 units. another tough one. got a nice backdoor cover with the niners last week. hard to expect them to cover the spread 2 weeks in a row. talk about a mighty franchise that has fallen. i'm just going against the rams as road chalk on principle.
arizona (+7) 2 units. i may just go against seattle every week. has the public love affair with the cards ended already? c'mon people, they WON last week.
KC/den over (38) 2 units. the linesmakers knew green was out when the total opened at 42.5. i feel like i'm getting a bonus 4.5 points here. jake the snake will throw 3 pick 6's, and donte hall will return 3 kicks for TD's. 42-0 KC.
