TB (-1) 2 units. yes, chris simms is still awful. and he's starting a playoff game. :scared but think way back to 6 days ago... when a banged-up washington team barely held off those ferocious eagles. i don't think they've had time to get very healthy, and now they have to go on the road to face a tough defense and a coach who has won a super bowl not too long ago. almost everybody is jumping on the 'skins, so i gotta go with the bucs. which will make all the 'skins backers very happy, i'm sure.
jacksonville (+7.5) 4 units. i really like this jacksonville team. i still think their defense is underrated. they know their chances of winning rest on their shoulders. i expect a huge game from that d. my biggest gripe with the jags is that they are too conservative on offense. that was supposed to change this year, but i saw no evidence of that the few games i've seen. it's still hand off, hand off, and on 3rd down, "byron, please pick up the first down." time and again, he comes through. i just hope the layoff doesn't hurt him too much.
i don't think they'll be intimidated by foxboro. in fact, i think they'll relish the opportunity to go in there and knock off that pats. it should be a close, low-scoring game. final score... 17-13.
