On the course!
The funniest thing? He could have picked any of 7 other games for the "fix", and half of you would have believed it today!

Beter luck next week.

Let me help a few of you guys out here. The three top bet games today were.
Greenbay over Minny
Jets over Buffalo
Pittsburgh over Arizona

Two of them, the team with hardly any money bet on them won straight up. I never said i had inside info. I know what i see a freaken child should be able to see it. Brett in that same situation for the last five years tanks. This time he didn't. Its not me against you its us against the books. Every sharp player in america had Minny as a play. It didn't work out. To think the books just want the publics money is foolish. They want the sharps and the publics money. Even when Brett fumbled with a minute left i still knew i lost because he did nothing like im use to him doing. Even if some fluky thing happens and Minny scored after that fumble i would have still said i was wrong because like i said i have seen him have a great half before and then mysteriously he forgets how to play. This time he didn't. Life goes on. For the guys that might have taken that pick i apologize. That bothers me more than anything.

Had the wrong guy fellas. Should have went to Pennington. Good to see Favre remembered how to play in a dome again. He got me this time but that is life betting sports. Start the beat down. On another note i said this last year and i will say this again. Minn get rid of that dog of a coach now. I saw his act in Philly. The way he uses the stud running back is a joke and he will go down just like Lovie with these two stiff quarterbacks he has. Just a stubborn man. Peterson runs for seven every play but gets one run a drive. To top it off you have a brutal Qback and he has him passing every first down.

I played Minn today, and lost. I expected favre would play poorly as he has previously indoors. I figured "lowly" Min would upend the 3-0 Green Bay world-beaters. I, like all other Min backers on this board except you, refrained from posting an attention-seeking message indicating the fix was in and that I would provide info as to which player was shaving points. Games have likely been fixed hundreds of times through the years and you, Sponge, were not privvy to inside info on any of them. Why not get off this horse you are on and admit that you are just an ordinary degenerate like the rest of us:shrug: Just sayin'

Sponge, I feel sorry for you that you are that insecure and desparate for attention that you have to post fictional "fixed" games like this that you have ZERO knowledge of any informaton on. Get a life.

have to chime in for the persecuted here ...sponge has obviosuly followed favre closely in these situations and posted what he felt would help the board. you can see it bothered him that others mightve lost. i dont think thats phony. he even explained his thoughts on why he did what he did etc ... last night i bet usc and he warned me in an email not to ... and guess what, he won on the otherside... should i have emailed him and shouted 'why didnt you talk me out of it' ... no, i took usc bc in most situations they woulda easily covered that 13.5 teaser i posted ... and guess what else, he was classy enough not to email me and say, hey gregg, i warned you ...

he might be controversial, and those that go into politcs forum know hes one of few with nuts enough to agree with me on my 911 thoughts, so this isnt about protecting sponge more than it is stating the obvious that he made his pick in unconventional fashion and others dont like it ...theres one poster here that is quite famous who ran a service for a while and lost his shorts, well you know what, good for sponge and him ... least they went out on a limb and did something that involved chance and reputation ... personally, i think that should be applauded instead of villified ... life has enough cookie cutters

Uhhh, no. If his goal was to "help the board" then he wouldn't wait until 5 minutes before kickoff to reveal the play.

He was building up to something that he hoped he would have been able to gloat about. Didn't work and it's very funny.

I seriously doubt anyone had time to jump on Sponges fixed game. And anyone reading the thread and still played Minn should immediately check into milledgeville.

PS - I hate attention ho's

Please note, upsets happen--especially in the NFL. Upsets are not always rigged. Just sayin', because some appear to be confused about this. GL

What about last night's game?

How do you explain a team that scores at will the week before, and now they can't get off the turf?

How do you explain a team that has a semi-shit defense getting 12 fukking sacks?

Like I always say around here, it's a 50/50 game. You guess right.....you guess wrong. I'll bet more guys have taken their own lives over NFL wagers than any other sport.

"The fix" aspect is no different than any other angle. If he was right, it would have been, "Look at me!".........He was wrong, and it was, "Huh.....whaddaya know about that?"

If there was a follow up press conference for the conspiracy sheep, we would have the list of "yeah, but...." excuses at the ready.

So here's the dilemma. Favre obviously didn't throw the game. That has now been shown as fact. BUT, had the Packers somehow pissed it away at the end......what now? Surely as it is just another loss to most of us, Sponge is shouting at the top of his lungs about the sky falling!

Instead of conspiracy, I give you this:

A gambler told me several years ago that I should never back a road favorite of 3 points or less. (Especially less!) He said the bookies are begging you to take the favorite. Over several seasons, he seems to be right. It's not a huge edge, but if one was to take the ML on the dog, I think they would do well. Sadly, I always think I have the games that the favorite is a "sure thing"!

(Same has held true in the NBA for 5 points and less. Take the home dog on the ML, and make some nice coin all season long!)

We see "upsets" every week, guys. We will see more this week, too............

If you are implying that no games are ever fixed in the NFL please see the NBA ref scandal. Ive seen plenty of games where I knew where the money was and watched in amazement as every crucial referee call went against the public fave. Ofcourse upsets happen but to be naive enough to think there is no hanky panky going on with this much money at stake is plain ignorant. Once again see the NBA ref scandal. Its been going on forever.

And again.........I'll say if you are betting your money on something that you think is rigged, and are not winning every fukking wager, you are an idiot.

Why would you put your money on something that might be tilted against you? THAT is sheer stupidity.

Yes, there will always be refs who pop up from time to time who did some shady stuff. That doesn't make it a league wide conspiracy.
