Anyone want to talk me down from a huge play on them this week. Line set at 3', early money actually coming in on NO.

What do we think?

Gotta look at line movement later in the week. Taking a break from watching sports for a couple of days since the Rays are only playing exhibition games now.

Saints + over look good.

Know the superdome is a tough place to play for sure but to make a large wager on this team could be suicide...imo

0-4 teams perform well week 5 historically. This may be different animal with all the staff changes, though

cie I wish your team the best...

love brees....think he is true class act...

and love your fans...loyal and passionate even when dealing with tradegdy....

think saints got raw deal with all of this....everyteam in the league has "bounties" like this....and i hate calling them that....its the way the league got the popularity it did.....let them hit and bang into eachother....same reason people watched the gladiators in old rome fight to the death in the collesium......

dont think they shouldve been punished like they were....A few games, maybe, but even then I woulda said BS....

hope they get it together for saints fan

i appreciate your comments. i, too, think it was harsh, especially since so many recent ex-players are acting as if the saints program was not too far out of the norm. sure, williams speech on tape was tough for me to listen to, but darren sharper and mike golic were amongst a slew of former players who acted as if they had heard similar speeches a hundred times before.

regardless, it's all good. i certainly cannot complain. growing up, the saints sucked routinely. since brees arrived they have had a nice run, winning 13 games twice, playing in 2 conference championship games and winning a super bowl over a great new orleanian in peyton manning. i was able to enjoy the ncf conference chamionship victory over the vikes with my man mad jack. we got hammered and i cheered like a madman. jackie was a hell of a good sport putting up with my hijinx.

plus, saints have provided my kids with a slew of memories i am sure they will recall forever. even though the team is 0-4, they wake up early every sunday and gear up. will it be a brees jersey or sproles, or maybe jimmy graham:shrug: decisions, decisions...lol life is good, bro:toast:

Saints 4-0-1 before a bye. San Diego in division sandwich(KC next) 2-7 vs. Nfc. Been looking at this game hard, seems like a good spot for saints to rally in sun.night spotlight.

Dela-where?
Saints have gotten a RAW DEAL from the NFL this year.
Payton shouldn't be suspended, Goodell's a prick.
IMHO the fans in NO are much more tied to their Aints than even the most die hard cities, and they're the ones affected by the commish's witchhunt....he should be ashamed of himself.

All that said, SAINTS ROLL Sunday night.

Suspended New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton will be in attendance at the Louisiana Superdome for Sunday night's game against the San Diego Chargers, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

I don't post in this forum very often, nor do I post my plays on here very often. Seems like it leads to way too much drama and bullshit for me, but that is not important right now. I will tell you though that I do gamble and I do so a lot on the NFL, I just don't talk about it.

Here is my opinion on the game. The Saints look absolutely poised to "break out" of the funk that every one seems to think that they're in. I don't think it is a funk. Somewhere in this forum you will see a thread started by azbob about NFL bold predictions where I said I didn't think the Saints would win more than 8 games and miss the playoffs. I say that because of the state of the talent on this team and the division. First of all, the Saints defense is a liability and can't stop anyone. Their penalties are way up and their takeaways are non-existent. They can't pressure the opposing QB without committing at least two blitzing players which leaves them exposed to wide receivers. Their safeties are slow and confused. On offense they have no identity. While Sproles is a nice option out of the backfield he isn't an every down back. None of their RB's are able to get into a rhythm due to the committee of like four frigging backs that they use game to game. Their O-line has aged and weakened up the middle. Brees is great but Colston is the only receiver on that team that could even be considered as a top twenty receiver. They desperately missed Henderson as they can no longer stretch the field effectively.

San Diego is a team that has underperformed but a lot of that is due to injury and scheduling, and the fact that they have the worst head coach in football. This game is different. Rivers and Mathews are ready to play this game and have something to prove. SD has a very good run defense and a strong, fast secondary. These teams mirror each other in many aspects such as a TE being a focal point of the offense, a passing team, pass catching screen team out of the backfield, etc... The biggest difference here is that SD will and can stretch the field far more effectively. Their receivers are far better, I know you may not agree but the fact is that they are. Meacham, Royal, and Floyd are veterans with speed and hands.
I look for Floyd and Gates to get a lot of targets with at least two big plays to Meachem and one to Royal.

After all of that, my play will be with the Chargers. They are the better team. The magic in New Orleans is gone, regardless of how or why, it is still gone and there is no funk. They have run out of talent in too many positions defensively and offensively to be able to compete in what has now become a very good division. Remember, this used to be a cupcake division, it's not anymore and the other teams have caught up to and surpassed the Saints.

Hope the helps.
