St Joes -2.5 over Fordham ****** big play
I have the line almost 5 -7 pts higher.Rams are coming off 3 or 4 losses like Joes.
But this is 1st A-10 game.Fordham has really improved.I have talked about them here already in the past.I love the Dunston kid.Him and CJ from Manhattan are the two best looking 6'8 froshes to come out.Dunston avg 14 pts and 7 bds.He's active inside and runs the floor well.Stout is another freshman who is avg 11 pts a game.Whittenberg has done a nice job with this team.But there still young.Ya'akosi is the 6'8 old man in the middle.They are in 1st in the A-10 in off. bds and last in defensive bds.They shoot 3's and play uptempo.Stout is 15-52,Anderson 20-58.Not to good.They made a low of 54 tre's in 11 games and are in last place.[3-fg% is 29%]St Joes has made 63 in 9 games.They also lead the A-10 in block shots with 57 but that is the reason there in last place in def bds.When your blocking and you miss its hard to get the rebound.
Martelli has changed his offense.No more uptempo w/o Nelson and West.They just lost to Ohio St but with 3 minuts left it was 63-57.
Stachitas has taken over as the leader.He's avg 14 pts a game and is 21-46 from the 3.Carroll and Mallon have been hurt and missed a few games.But both are back and the 6'10 mallon will start tonite.Jones at 6'11 is back and avg 11 pts and 11 bds.He's a force inside.Lee has taken over the pt.Avg's 8 pts and 4 apgs.Still needs work but doesn't turn the ball over.
Joes is still a talented team.They still have 3 starters back.They got beat on the rd by San Fran,ODU,Kansas,Ohio st and lost at home to Bucknell.They beat Fairfield and Davidson.Lost to Drexal though.But Mallon and Carroll missed some of those.Rams have lost to Nova,Fairfield,Holy Cross,Manhattan and beat Iona,Siena and st francis.
Jones inside and Stachitas and Carroll outside are going to be to much to matchup with.Joes has Calathes,Fergunson and Survov coming off the bench and there 6'8,6'10 and 7'0.
Martelli doesn't sub to much.Rams are scrappy and young.But Joes is a much better team and can win tonite by 10 or more pts.St Joes is one of the worst FT shooting in the US shooting 58%.Rams shoot 68%.But I don't think that comes into play tonite.
