first time in forever wife had to drive home from work IN THE SNOW in the "93'' F-150.

I was a nervous friggin wreck waitin' on her to pull in the driveway..
1.5 hours for a 25 minute commute.
first thing she says..
"It fishtails"

Most don't know how to drive in the stuff, especially folks down there and really especially the idiots who have 4WD who think that thing is invincible.
Good for you--we need it badly. To catch up we will need one those 2 foot blizzards--sad out here for the 2nd yea in a row. Ski industry is sucking $$. Drive safe
got about an inch here and its like people had never seen the stuff with how bad they were driving on the roads.
I had a decent amount accumulated on my truck and it was blowing off pretty good as I got going. Made me laugh thinking how much that would irritate some.

Exactly! Nothing like someone flying past you on snowy roads. 4WD drive is nice, but that doesn't eliminate the need to drive careful.
If it is there for Christmas, it makes for a nice picture and makes the time a little warmer for some reason.
Otherwise flurries and minimal accumulations are useless. I need it thick and deep so that there is an excuse to go out and play with my daughter and dog in it. An inch, no fun in that.

not for a million dollars cash..
we get this WHITE SHYT about once a winter..
there have been severe snows that have required the National Guard to help but that is a very rare occurence.
more tunnels,bridges and over-passes than one can imagine..
a snow like yesterday at 3pm cripples the Hampton Roads area.
Commute from say the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth to say the center of Va.Beach could take as long as 4+ hours..
a trip of about 20 miles..

5 hours when ya can average 10mph..
hundreds of thousands of people commute to these Naval Bases and Shipyards as often a 7 days a week..certain shipyads here work 24/7 with time off only when ya beg for it..
