to watch the super bowl (rather watch it on a big screen than the laptop), I walked into one bar and I said

"Will you be open for the super bowl"?

Now, to put things into context, many shops, stores, bars, etc on a sunday shut down around 10-11pm,
2 of the 5 bars I asked replied

"What is a super bowl"

Hey DR, your laptop should have a s-video or composite video (yellow) out to TV, use a s-video or the yellow/red/white composite cable and plug it into your big screen. Now you can what it on big screen @ home. For sound, use your computer speaker.

can't do that, live on university campus, tv's here are 15" and only black and white lol

Did you ever find a bar showing it. Those asswipes running the NFL think that NFL is huge in the UK. The games played there are mostly hype and tourists. Believe it or not the NFL is interested in a team in the UK. At what point I dont know but we know the english are avid sports fans. I sell licensed NFL stuff wholesale to retailers throuout the world. So far the only enquiries from the UK are tiny order sthat cant meet our mins.

nope, most bars around here close at 11pm on a sunday and 2 bars didn't even know what the super bowl was.

It is 1:00am here now and it is dead quiet outside,
