Having to watch two teams from same conference, which went 5-4? Play for championship, while the Big 10 goes 7-1

Are you kidding ? Conferences don't play for national championships , schools do . So it wouldnt matter if the sec went 2-7 in bowls . When during the Alabama/Clemson game did you think Clemson had a prayer of winning the game ? A month ago Alabama was considered by most as being the 5th best team in the country at best . And they just totally fucked up the #1 ranked team in the playoffs . Ou and Clemson had a chance tonight to make it a sec free championship game but couldn't do it ..
I am a huge OHIO STATE fan... do you really think I have a problem with Alabama getting in instead of the Buckeyes? Not a chance... Alabama-Georgia will be a great National Championship game with the Tide winning it all... :0008
Bama may very well be the best team, right now.
They play the regular season for a reason, at least they should
2 teams from same conference should never make the final 4. Period.
If you do not win your conference you should not get in IMO.
Going into conf championship many would have said Auburn was the best team. They beat Bama and Georgia. Then got ROLLED by UCF. They had 21 sacks all year and you can try to talk motivation or lack there of all you want. Motivation does not teach size. Auburn's vaunted OLine was dominated by a team with 21 sacks ALL year.
If you do not win your conference you should be out. Period.
As far as the Big 10, if you had 10 units on each game you would be laughing but all the way to the bank. Took down ACC #2, Pac 12 #1 and 2. If not for an epic Haurbaugh and Wolverine melt down, 8-0.
In current format of ONLY 4 teams, should need to win your own conference. Until they Expand to 6 or 8.
It will be a good game, but IMO we already had an SEC championship and Bama missed out. Best team now or not. Hell just throw Bama in every year then. Let them sit home until the bowl games start.
And Pitt and NE should just go play for the Superbowl even though they are both in the AFC.

If bama and ga wouldnt have gotten into the championship it would of pushed all those sec schools down the bowl higher archy just like it did for big 10 and imo the showing would of been better for sec. i like big 10 too. They have some great teams and i think 2 of them had an argument to be in but you know.....
The comm is looking for the 4 best teams.....not 4 of the major conf champ game winning teams.

That's the cry......well what happens when one conf gets 3 teams into the group of 8??? and before you says that's crazy talk go check this year rankings and tell me auburn doesn't have an argument as team #8 (after champ games) for inclusion along with uga and bama.
The issue is who are the 4 best teams? Win your conference. Before the SEC championship, Auburn was the best team, then they are not, just like that...
UCF is the only team to beat the only team that beat both teams that are playing for the 2nd SEC title game. So maybe they got the "best" 4 teams wrong... Or maybe Auburn should have been included also and Clemson not in. Lol. Afterall, the ACC sucked.

Again, subjective as to who the 4 best teams are... Auburn beat both teams, handily. Lost to Geo 2nd time, handily. So who is better?
The conference champion won the conference, there should be direct reflection of winning your conference or not, does not matter who was hurt when. Then the Packers could be saying, hey Vote us in to the playoffs, Rodgers is not hurt anymore.
I get that it is a committee and they are trying to put the 4 best teams in, BUT that is somewhat subjective.
I believe one criteria should be Win your damn conference...
I'm not talking about this season.
If you have two teams that are FAR and away the best in the country, wouldn't it be a shame to not see them play?
The fact is, no matter what kind of test you use to determine who plays who, there will always be people bitching.
A few years ago, we never had playoffs. People screamed, "We need a playoff system!" When the playoff system came to be, people bitched about that, too. It's been changed.....still bitching.
Bitching is what we do well.
