Anyone who "Facebooks", deserves the shit infested drivle that these morons post.

I lasted on FB for about a month, when I finally realized that the only thing people talk about is: Their pets, their kids, and how many more fucking days until their day off, or vacation.

STFU already!

I diagree with your negative take. FB is an excellent way to stay in touch with out of town friends an relatives. I don't use it much, except for uploading photos of my boys on occasion, but can easily understand why some would use it regularly.

Maybe 2012 will be the year you start acting less like a senior citizen. Us kid types are having a great time enjoying life every day:toast:

this thread reminded me to check my Facebook. I hadn't in a while, which is typical for me. I logged in, read a message from my man dunclock, and another from a buddy from Chicago. I then saw a photo of a happy BBC pouring a tall drink, and looking mighty fit. I was about to reply in kind to BBC, when a post with dozens of replies caught my eye. Unbelievable as it would seem, one of our college buddies died yesterday in a boat accident. He wasn't 40, he has a family. Oh my, a great man has fallen. I hadn't cried in a while, so I guess I was overdue :(

On the course!

Certainly it is! I'm pretty sure that was the intention of the site!

Yet, too many people want to post every single day, about every mundane thing. Seriously......who gives a shit how your "Farmville" is doing?

You want to stay in touch with friends and family? Try picking up the phone, and TALKING to them. Any of you "kids" remember that?

Don't bet on it. The more I see of the 'tragedy of youth', the more I hate you people.

That's just it. It's a 30 year Spring Break for way too many people. Maybe if we had a few more people working, and few less partying, this country would stop sliding off of the map?

This may be one of the more entertaining threads I have ever wrought.

Trust me, when you live in a foreign land, Facebook is a blessing.

However, I am totally with yyz's thoughts about the irritating banality of some people's Facebook posts. That was the point of my initial post.

I guess YYZ does not have any relatives with kids and family he could see pictures and videos of. It really is a facinating tool to keep in touch with. A phone call.
