"the bunker"
i figure,i want to be fair the next time we have our weekly fox/msnbc debate...

the first segment is,"will women back obama"....this is obviously pertaining to the hillary/obama flap and the fact that quite a few hillary supporters are threatening to back john mccain...theres 3 women on the panel...

so,i go take a piss,go to the refrig and get a cold drink(it`s hot again today)and when i get back the old lady says,"all 3 women are obama supporters".....

i said"what"?....then i realized,"this is pmsnbc".....

they had kathleen kennedy townsend on as one who supported hillary but she`s 4 square behind obama....

seriously....how can you have a panel examining whether or not...or why women will or won`t vote for barack obama without having ONE woman on the panel explaining "WHY" she may not vote for him?......

i mean, what are you learning from this discussion if theres no other viewpoint?...

it`s laughable...seriously...

how anybody can excoriate fox for being biased when they ALWAYS have some sort of counterpoint to the conservative viewpoint...even lame bill o`relly has a debate on the issues...it`s not a cheerleading session...

hannity has colmes...

hardball?....now i know why they lag in the ratings.....pathetic...

That's OK, no need to explain why you wanted a cold drink. We are not the cold drink police around here. You are free to have all the cold beverages you like without fear of scrutiny.

I assume every word of Weasel's posts are important. I do not discriminate between the sentences. I simply wanted to make sure Weasel was not intimidated or felt guilty about his choices of beverages.

Wease,

I never bought into the fact that certain Dems, I guess in this case women, would flock to McCain because they voted for Hillary in the primary.

We have two women who work in our front office. Both pretty much vote Democrat and both have been bragging about Hill for well over a year. Wright makes them nervous, Barry-O has no experience and, well, isn't Hillary the party's real hope--especially in my state of Ohio where I think she would cream McCain, but not sure Barry-O can.

Anyhoo.....in talking with them on Monday......they have Obama pom poms now that there choice is finally on her way out.

The TV hacks have to dig around to find these alleged people and they wont find too many of their "regular" contributers that lean left to speak out against Obama.

I think the whole Hillary Dems will leave the party is a made up talking point by our punditry, chattering class that has, well, been wrong about a lot of things the last decade or so.....but as long as we keep letting them have by lines and stuff they can keep throwing their theories to the wall. Maybe one will stick.

How many of them one year ago thought Obama would not even carry a state? Lots would be my guess.

Hope this helps....oh, and, please have more than one cold beverage. You might need it considering how the Raisins are gonna be this fall!**

i believe you`re right,toledo...the media will bludgeon women over the head with rowe v wade until their ears bleed and they`ll vote obama...

it`s the dems time, unfortunately for me... and the country...

but,i gotta say, although i know mccain would keep us safer, i do believe that mccain would f-ck up many other issues along the way and possibly totally destroy the conservative movement for all eternity....

so,if by some strange act of god we don`t lose thousands to the terrorists on obama`s and the dem congress` watch,i`ll survive...a little poorer and with a little less liberty.....maybe i`ll have to learn spanish or have a license plate with farakhan`s picture on it,but,i grind my teeth anyway.........

i honestly think this crew`ll make folks dread the word "change" by 2012....

i`m sure the the 10`s of thousands of iraqi`s that bet their lives that we`d stick by them will be much sorrier than i will....

Yeah, we have nowhere to go but down after these last 7 years.

y some strange act of god we don`t lose thousands to the terrorists on obama`s and the dem congress` watch

Like we did on Bush's and the Republicans 'watch?'

Sometimes I have to wonder if you're even trying to be serious. Tell me how the f*ck this admin has done anything about immigration. Not that any prior admin has either, but now you're all worried about Obama?

If you recall, McCain supported W's plan on immigration that was roundly panned as being too soft. But you're worried about Obama now. Got it!

i honestly think this crew`ll make folks dread the word "change" by 2012

Maybe. But hopefully we have a chance to find out. Like I mentioned in another thread, it's easy enough to vote Obama out in 4 years if your frantic, dire predictions come true.

I find it simply astounding that you have had nary a negative word about this current admin, but you're going crazy about simply the prospect of Obama winning this election.

i`m sure the the 10`s of thousands of iraqi`s that bet their lives that we`d stick by them will be much sorrier than i will....

Uh, yeah. I know how much you're worried about the Iraqi citizens. How many do you figure have been killed and maimed by 'collateral damage' during our shock and awe and occupation?

You're incredibly intellectually dishonest, but that's not shocking in general. I read the NY Post almost daily, so I know it's out there.

if I remember right one of those gals was for Hillary. Now will go with Obama because of Mc Cains record for woman is not strong.
As for a change we might as well try a big one. It's hard to see next 4 years with Obama any worses then Bushed. And Mc Cain is a looked a like.

they were all for obama,djv...hillary`s gone...the topic was about why some old hillary voters claim they`ll back mccain...and whether they`ll stick to their guns...

so,in typical fair and balanced msnbc fashion, they decided not to let a hillary/mccain woman explain her reasoning...they just brought all obama supporters on for a "bock-fest"....

Yes, the 'plotting' began on BJ's watch, the execution on W's watch. Whatever.

Look, how many times can we go around on this? I don't mean the blame game for 9/11, because I certainly don't blame this admin for that.

I'm talking about the next logical response citing Reagans alliance with Bin Laden, Rumsfelds personal meeting with Saddam about the time they were supposedly gassing Kurds with American weapons....blah, blah, blah.

What i'm really asking for is some, any, sort of consistency from you.

I saw that thread and the response from you, but I didn't read it close enough, I guess. I saw he cited some stuff from 2005, but I didn't see where he said it was real-time. I haven't looked again after seeing this post, so I could be totally wrong.

Whatever the case, spongy will always be the butter knife in the steak knife drawer.

I just watched the tale end of countdown with Olberman where his worst person of the world was Katie Couric :mj07: What a joke he is; she's the worst person in the world because she said the media coverage was biased towards Obama during the campaign. A blind man could have seen that!

This was followed by the rerun of softball with Chris Matthews, and I agree, his 'roundtable' was a joke. A Kennedy, the spokesman for Planned Parenthood (daughter of the late, great Ann Richards) who disguised her organization as an outreach for all women to have healthcare , and a spokesperson for Emily's List. Emily's List is an organization that tries to get pro-choice women elected.

All 3 of these women might have voted for Hillary, but it's not a stretch for them to now support Obama. Can u imagine a Kennedy ever voting for a Republican? The other 2 are strong supporters of pro-choice issues, so naturally, they go Obama too.

What I found most disingenuous about the panel was the the broad brushstrokes about women in general. Sorry, ladies, but not all women are for planned parenthood and other pro-abortion issues. The most staunch supporters of pro-life are women. Why not have one of them on the panel?? Oh, because this is MSNBC. Why would I expect anything else but a soapbox for the most liberal agendas? My bad!
