Isn't Jeb Bush a Republican?:0corn
I am talking about before the field got down to 3. Between Donald Duck and Ted the party has to pick one.... Both will get crushed......and i mean Crushed There are 55 million Hispanics in US Very soon will be 100 million.. The Republican Party is dead Mayor of Houston has said They will deliver Texas to the Dem Party in our lifetime. When That happens they Dem Party will have the Electoral college locked up before any election is held. They are at 227 at this moment Texas wd put them over the top. Game Set Match.....

How was his security deployed in a church setting ? I'm guessing that he has 24/7 secret service protection but I could be wrong.

During mass there was a guy on either side of the family that you could tell were security. Wired earpieces, suits and no smiles. I'm sure that there a few more mixed in but what do I know. I saw about 6 guys before and after the service that were a part of his team. I'm not sure if they were security or not.

I was surprised by how "normal" they entered and exited the church. Absolutely zero disruption to our parish. Zero special treatment and they stayed and participated the entire time.

we definitely disagree on some things ideologically..you can`t be regulars on a forum with so many other opinionated guys for14 years without a little friction seeping through on occasion...... ...there are any number of posters in here who I`m sure have profound ideological disagreements....but in the large majority of cases, they`re all decent, smart guys(that`s you, cie) and the forum would be greatly diminished without them..their "every other post" isn`t intended to be a sharp stick in the eye of those with opposing viewpoints...they`re reasonable people and get that there are actually other people with differing opinions in the forum who would rather not be slapped each time they check in for a laugh or some casual b.s.`ing with friends... case in point pocket aces` fairly benign ted cruz post(and believe me,i`m no big fan of cruz).....

hammer obviously doesn`t get this...I`m pretty sure his most recent report card read"doesn`t play well with the other children"....

I certainly didn't intend for this thread to turn into a political debate but I'm not surprised. I don't really support Cruz. That wasn't my intention either.

I guess my point was that you never know what the day is going to bring. And not to get too sappy, each day really is a gift. When I got up yesterday morning I knew I had to go to work and then I was going to take a late lunch and join my family for Good Friday. I never would have guessed I'd chat with a guy like Ted Cruz.

After mass there, were only about 10 people standing around him chatting. Maybe a few more. And what do you say to a guy like that? He's met a million people and shaken every hand he's come across. I thanked him for joining us and he thanked me for having them. At the end, I looked him square in the eye and I said "God bless you". He said, "God bless you too."

Today I'm reading about how many affairs he's had and how bad of a guy he is. Who knows, but at that moment he was just a normal guy standing in the back of my Church with his wife and kids.

I`m not always clear...I didn`t read your post as an intended shit stirrer and that`s what i was trying to impart....it certainly didn`t seem very controversial(at least not until hammer weighed in)......seems you can`t even make an innocent observation/relay an interesting personal experience without some drawing a line in the sand...

I see you are from WI. Maybe we'll have the chance to have a beer sometime. Just as long as we don't talk politics.

Mitt Romney & Lindsay Graham have endorsed Cruz....

As has Nikki Haley & Rick Perry....

Yup

Not saying I like or dislike Cruz or any politician left at this point...that's another discussion..

But to say ZERO endorsements have been made on the behalf of Cruz is incorrect....and that the entire rep. Party hates him is a bit over the top
