wow never expected this from you.

when a job takes that much out of you for years and years you got to take time to consider new opportunites.

Try to find something that you really love doing and would almost do for free. It is hard but you got to dig deep inside yourself and then go for it.

Go back to school if you are geared in that direction.

Life is full of surprises that can turn out much better for your future well being.

When you close one door, you find others that will open for you.

You must be set financially to sustain this decision. I would find out who treats there employees the best in your field as far as pay, benefits, time off. Submit a resume and see what happens. Sometimes a change is a good thing. Good Luck :0008

If I may ask, what is your field of expertise?

Change can be very rewarding, I left a secure job that I had 15 years invested in (public utility) opened a hobby shop.

My co-workers said I was crazy giving up security.
(slave mentality)

My business flourished, and I sold the shop and retired in 1998....I was 48.

I'm sure you'll be fine. Good people always find great jobs. It's always nice to have a paycheck, however if your job is beating you up you should definitely make a change. You deserve better and I'm sure you'll find it!
