When I was 9, and with my father at a banquet for the Noon Optimist Club in Fond du Lac WI, I got a chance to meet "special guests" Boyd Dowler, Donnie Anderson, and Don Horn. When I told Dowler he was my favorite player, he asked me if I wanted to sit at their table! I got to eat right across from Boyd Dowler!!....2 TD catches in the Ice Bowl, and one in SB II. Donnie Anderson also scored in SB II.
I don't remember much else from that night, except when you're 9, and sitting across from the first athlete/celebrities you're use to watching on TV, they're larger than life, and it's a HUGE deal. All 3 autographed their pictures in my 1968 Packer yearbook, and I still have it!
