I think it's laughable that some people think a private industry based on profit-taking and satisfying investors is going to do a better job of administering our health care system than the government. And, the odd thing about these government systems, they can be improved on and made much more efficient, while private insurance companies do everything they can to provide the least service for the most cash.
The day Obama signed the Affordable Care Act, he stated very clearly that it was only a beginning and that the law needed improvements -- as all laws do. When first implemented, Social Security excluded African-Americans. Took a couple of years to fix that. The problem, of course, is that we have the most hostile, obstructive Congress now since the Civil War. This Congress doesn't want ANYTHING to be improved because that might be construed by voters as a political victory for President Obama. Can't have that. Country last.
