Haven't kept up at all. Now that football season is over, besides hoops, nhl has a plethora of games to bet on. What are the season's...

Biggest surprises?
Biggest disappointments?
What/Who to keep an eye out for?
Who's going all the way this season? (optional opinion)

Thanks in advance. Appreciated any input.

What/Who to keep an eye out for? FLYERS with Danny B back that team will be climbing up the standings
Who's going all the way this season? (optional opinion) Pens for East West is wide open with Hawks, Sharks and Ducks

The Blues problem is depth at forward, too many soft players and they have the same group of forwards back that got bounced last year in the playoffs.....Blues goaltending and defense is very solid though, gotta love Hitch at HC too!

"The Blues problem is depth at forward, too many soft players"

Wow ! One of the biggest forward cores, roll all 4 lines at u all night. U don't need 40 goal scorers to have depth. They had a bad week defensively and goaltending ( Elliot not halak )

It's not Vegas giving them to much respect, your not giving them enough. Keep watching them

Listen to any hockey expert on XM/Sirius, TV or sports radio in general and they will tell you that this group is too young and too soft. Who at the forward position scares you? Nobody!
If this forward group is as good as you say, why did they get swept by LA in the 2nd round of the playoffs last year? Teams with depth at forward and that roll 4 lines is a recipe for success in the playoffs. Blues were 0-17 on the PP and scored 6 goals in 4 games against LA, not to mention they had homeice too. I concur with Jason, Vegas gives this team far too much respect.......

Again, sometimes message boards can set the wrong tone, so dont take my tone wrong, just pointing out the facts I see. I guess what I am saying is make me a believer with this team. Just my 2 cents.

Blues have lost 3 in a row and 2 of those were to Detroit who are minus 3 defensemen.

Not hard to point out numbers against the hot team who rolled everyone in last years playoffs. Who has good numbers vs la last playoff? Can u name 1 ? Not saying they win it, but they are good

Fair enough......LA did roll everyone but that shows you the teams they rolled couldnt adapt to the Kings. The Kings were great on special teams and if the Blues wanted it bad enough they would have fought harder but they seriously rolled over after gaem 1, they were down 4-0 in the 1st period of Game 2, maybe 5-0 cant recall exactly.....still.......if you have depth and roll 4 lines you can at least give a solid go and not get swept.......make it a 6 or 7 game series. Blues remind of the Sharks and Sens years ago......great regular seasons, limited playoff success. Again, just my 2 cents, not trying to sound rude on the forum.

Minnesota Wild have been a big disappointment, but I would look for them to gel in a few games, if they don't pick it up, they may tank but they have a ton of talent.

Suter has been awful.......and I mean awful! Many are now saying he is soooo out of shape and did nothing during the lockout, it shows!

Go Habs Go!!
Biggest surprises? Habs, Ducks, Jackets

Biggest disappointments? Flyers, Sabres, Colorado

What/Who to keep an eye out for? NHL Draft and trades with so little time in between Stanley Cup Final and draft... Should be fun to keep an eye on!

Who's going all the way this season? Blues / Kings repeat, Pens
