Wasn't the age for collecting set at a time when people were expected to DIE at the "age of collecting"?

We're talking about the 1930's here!
The government never figured it would be paying people for 20-30 years past retirement!
They were looking at a 2-5 year plan for most people I'm guessing.

Would not be an increase in taxes to me but a fair amount per payroll--I don't know how there ever became a cap or the reason for it.
--however would not be enough to offset ssn deficit--you will see age raised to at 68 within next decade--regardless of which party is in--too many boomers coming on.
I can't see Medicare or SSN every being gutted without revolt as people have paid for the benefit.
We need to reduce Tramps fav "gov tit" --the cradle to grave dependents of the taxpayer/gov--and instead of trying to add 30 million illegals to the healthcare dependency rolls--
are we forcing these countries to entertain our troops?....
of course not...they want them there....why?...because then,they don`t have to spend on their own defense...

and we baby boomers are about to explode in mass.Taking our retirement and continuing to work.
Biggest concern is if there will be enough quality retirement facilities across our Sourthern heartland to handle the mass exist from the Northern regions of our country.
Then of course there will be the gigantic problem down the road of enough quality old-age homes and centers for us to go to in our "Golden Years"...
Sure hope so...for millions of us it will be the only hope we have for care into our feeble years here on earth.

I am sure there is a military chart that shows how many and where bases must be maintained for maximum boom power.

Which is exactly why we need to charge everyone for that service....especially China since our keeping the peace allowed them to grow....and then we'll have no deficit....and the dollar will tank.....and China will come looking for their money.......which is why we'll need the military

Japan is not some crazy asses that would ever use a nuke.
now giving the nuke to Taiwan
that would do the trick.
