Vanished into vortex
I need 4 copies of Excel to make life a LOT easier, my company says it's not NECESSARY, though they agree it would make everything easier, but they won't pay for them. I simply can't use a pirated copy.

Does anyone know enough about OpenOffice.org to tell me if it's compatible enough that I could use it instead without any problems?????

Thanks.

OK
no problems, you just have to find a copy of the software. My company had copies of the old version, the newer version would not load for some reason.

I don't have personal experience with the Open Office Excel but have used their word processor. I never found any incompatibility issues with Word. I was advised by the IT person where I used to work that the Commonwealth of VA Dept. of Health is installing it into all of the new computers rather than paying the exorbitant price for Office.

Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
Ryson,
Have you used this much?
Looks like a great service! :SIB
One question that came to mind, you are able to share your spreadsheet with others, via an email list, can you take people on and off that list anytime? I would love to see and on going demonstration if you have done anything that is not top secret:142smilie
We could exchange emails if you would, ok by me:shrug: We will have to get from Jack.....
Thanks for this link anyway :)

FW,

No prob getting my email from Jack, I have used it in conjunction with my gmail/Google account and typically when I am in a pinch (I have Office on all of my computers). You can save it locally and send via local email even if you don't have office. To use it you have to have a Google account and it ties my docs to my gmail, I have a bunch of gmail invites if anyone is interested.
