I'm very impressed that he has come up with a plan... (pausing to laugh, and gasp for breath)... Thank God for democrats calling him out for one for the past 3 years, or we wouldn't even have this paper plan announced.

The plan is and has ALWAYS been to....

1. Overthrow Saddam
2. Rebuild the infasturcture
3. Help set up a democracy
4. Rebuild the military
5. Help draft a consitution
6. Make sure elections take place
7. Slowly bring troops home after the consitution is voted on and the new government is stable enough to stand on it's own

You want all of this done in under 3 years?? :mj07:

Deny it all you want ---

IT'S HAPPENING!!!!

Why are you so worried about "the enemy", Charles? I thought the Iraqi's had things under control, from your posted report in the other thread. By the way...if we left Iraq, the majority of "the enemy" would have nothing to do, because they are simply insurgents fighting against the occupiers, and not terrorists.

Yeah Clem, it's called war, not chaos.

Awful funny you say Iraq is in shambles but the troops and commanders on the ground WHO ARE THERE tell us a totally different story. My brother-inlaw has been there twice. I know the truth. :)

Post number 3 in this thread was deleted and you posted something completely different.

It said why would you divulge your plan to the enemy?

#3 So tell me, why would you divulge your plan to the enemy? (I wouldn't say that is a "slam" lol.)

#4 You are trying to pass off your OPINION as fact. Not a very solid argument. Since you said the presidents plan was "shitty", what plan do you think would have worked better?

MY point is there was no plan or else we would have won.

Remember George W Bush stated he is not in the habit of Natoion Building.

The plan that would have worked better is to have stayed the course going after Alquaeda and Osama. Put pressure on Saudi Arabia and Egypt to stop breading terrorists for a start. If you were so set on going to Iraq shut down the boarders so our troops are not getting hunted by the folks that Dumb Old W told to "bring it on" to.

Our military knows the truth if left to speak it. Guess who they re- port to. Sounds like stay the course is not working. At least that is per list above that came from whom. We were never told any chit like that for war.

Stay the course isn't working?

Yeah I guess that's why a new constitution will be voted on on Dec. 15th. and women will be voting!!!!!!!!

? More than 120 Iraqi army and police combat battalions, comprised of between 250 and 800 Iraqi forces, are in fighting terrorists; of these, about 80 battalions are fighting with coalition forces, and about 40 are taking the lead.

? More than 30 Iraqi army battalions have assumed primary control of their own areas of responsibility; Iraqi battalions in Baghdad have "taken over major sectors of the capital, including some of the city's toughest neighborhoods." One of those, Bush said, includes Haifa Street, which last year was nicknamed "Purple Heart Boulevard."

? About 90 square miles of Baghdad province is under the control of Iraqi security forces. In addition, in south-central Iraq, sectors of southeast Iraq, sectors of western Iraq, and sectors of north-central Iraq are being controlled by Iraqi forces.

?With coalition help, Iraqis have established schools for Iraqi military services: an Iraqi military academy, a noncommissioned officer academy, a military police school, a bomb disposal school, and NATO has established an Iraqi joint staff college. Professional development courses for Iraqi squad leaders, platoon sergeants, warrant officers and sergeants major are also offered.

? The country now has six basic police academies and one in Jordan that produce over 3,500 new police officers every 10 weeks. At the Baghdad police academy, simulation models allow Iraqis to train to stop improvised explosive device attacks and operate roadblocks. They're also getting live-fire training with AK-47s.

? Iraqis now have a small air force that recently conducted its first combat airlift operations, bringing Iraqi troops to the front in Tal Afar.

? The Iraqi navy is helping protect the ports of Basra and Umm Qasr.

? A national depot has been built north of Baghdad to supply logistical needs for 10 divisions of the Iraqi army. In addition, regional support units and base support units have been created to supply Iraqi war-fighters.

? An Iraqi military intelligence school has been established to produce Iraqi intelligence analysts and collectors.

"When Iraqis stand up, American forces can stand down ... when our mission of defeating the terrorists is complete, our troops can return home to a proud nation ... this is a goal the Iraqis share," the president said.

Also to train military commanders in the United States it takes about 4-6 years. Why should it go twice as fast in a brand new country being started from scratch that is finally getting their first taste of democracy?

Obviously being a liberal you failed to listen to Bush's speech this morning. My source is George Bush. For about the 100th time GWB has had to remind you hypocrite liberals what the plan is in Iraq. If you can dispute any of it lets see it Kosar.

This is exacly why you liberals think America has no plan. YOU ONLY HEAR WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR. We do have a plan and you know it. Same plan as day 1 and we are winning!!!!!! Hell even Chadman actually said we are winning today!!. We do have a plan that is WORKING!! ASK ANY SOLDIER WHO'S BEEN THERE!! The troops love Bush!! You are just jealous because your entire political part has no plan, no ideas, no leadership, and your only goal is to hope America fails in Iraq. You guys are pathetic.
