To anyone that knows me, I'm fairly new to gambling as I first started betting hockey this year and I spent most of my winter in the Penalty Box here at MJ's place stuffing Boston Bruin propaganda to anyone who would read it. Having said that, I've never bet on a soccer match. I do not understand the numbers from my on line account.
For example:
S. Korea 2.90
Tie 3.10
Poland 2.25
Using a $100 wager for example...
$100 on SK pays $190 plus original $100
$100 on TIE pays $210 plus original $100
$100 on Poland pays $125 plus original $100
I feel like a dope
but either I have had too many cold ones tonight or I'm plain stupid. (I'd really like to believe I'm not stupid) How do I convert these numbers into hockey/baseball numbers like -135 or +160. You guys get what I'm saying, I hope.
Also, if I'm reading this particular line correctly, if I wager $100 on both S. Korea & Poland to win, either way I come out a winner. The only risk I take with this particular game is it can't end in a draw. Then I'm screwed. If S. Korea wins, I'm up $90 and if Poland wins, I'm up $25. A tie and I'm out $200...With gambling being a marathon and not a sprint, any day that's a winning day is a good one. Correct?
Any and all responses are appreciated.
