Company I work for wants to standardize the commission/ bonus structure. Turns out, I will lose around $20k a year, and they said they weren't capping us! Good gravy! Structure should have never even been discussed, as not one person is happy about it! I am not losing the most either, but ridiculous! The immediate higher up gas a Napolean Complex, so you can't even discuss it with him rationally without him going in attack mode. You ever met a guy that is always right, but fricken lies every other sentence. That's him! M:nono:

Breathe, breathe, breathe!

I feel better, thanks!!!

I have been there.

I quit because of it.

I hate sales though you can make some serious cash if you're good at it.

I went through job after job after the Navy until I finally found one I like with a good boss. I sure hope all of you guys can find something similar.

A boss can make or break a good job and too often they break something that isn't broken while fixing something that doesn't need fixing and end up making it worse, too.

Thx for the responses! I would have quit, but never leave a job without one lined up. I am in a very profitable industry with pretty good margins, but he just wanted to change the plan. The prior plan is what was the attractive component!!

Oh well, job searching here we come. I can't stand that either!

You are good at what you do....Challenge yourself to yet again find that working environment that brings out your skills to the nth degree.

As you stated..always easier to find a job when you already have one..

I would remind you though....unhappiness in the work place is hard to hide..

Carry a smile everywhere ya go...

Good luck...:0056

Dogface,

Same thing Im experiencing now...been with the company 2.5 yrs, had our commissions cut in Nov and now we've been told it will happen again this spring.

Went ahead and updated my resume and reached out to a couple friends I have in the area. Fortunate to score an interview and job offer that I'll start in April. Benefits arent as great, but ultimately I can make what I believe I'm worth as long as I pound the pavement. Plus, I'll have much more freedom to build the type of business I want.

Old School, as always on point, keep smiling through it all and I hope for only the best in your search Dogface---sometimes you got to just trust in yourself and friggn just leap :toast:
