If USC is #1 in both polls and they play Michigan in the Rose, how will the OU/LSU game be for the national championship if all the Associated Press has to do is vote USC #1 in the final poll provided they beat Michigan? Hopefully this is what happens tomorrow as this will certainly end the BCS and its future in college football.

Funny how the Rose Bowl may once again screw up the National Championship! LOL

I just want to make sure, the winner of the championship game wins the Coaches Poll trophy signifying them as the national champion right? There is no such trophy from the AP poll right?

I still can't believe all of this tonight. . . there are USC fans watching Boise State/Hawaii rooting like crazy for the Bows to win as it may lift USC by the slimest of margins. . . reminds me of our most recent Presidental election where all eyes were on Florida for only a couple thousand votes which meant everything.

The Nokia Sugar Bowl on January 4, 2004, will host the BCS National Championship Game and determine which team will be presented The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame's MacArthur Trophy, awarded to college football's National Champion since 1959, as well as the ADT National Championship Trophy on behalf of the American Football Coaches Association.

The AP had it setup where they could vote their own national title. They can vote anyone they want as their national title but the official champion is the BCS champion.
