Everyone who now votes does have ID. It's called "voter registration form". They got that form by presenting proof of who they are . Sometimes the proof was a birth certificate, sometimes a passport, sometimes military ID, sometimes school records, etc.

Now Republicans are demanding a specific, state-issued photo ID which some folks don't have, and the states are making it hard to get. IN some states, it's over 100 miles to the nearest issuing place.

Your passport, which was issued after application to, and investigation by the Department of State? Your US Military ID? IN some states you can wipe your ass with them if you

Perhaps I'm not thinking through this enough, but I'm OK with requiring a state issue ID to vote. Seems like it would avoid a good bit of voter fraud if you ask me,

pengy where is all this voter fraud u are witnessing? You walk in and they cross off your name. You vote and you are done. Do u go in again and hope nobody notices ya and you vote under another persons name hoping the person signing you in doesn't notice you or the new name you are voting under? Lets say you do go in twice. Do you really want to embarass yourself that much to get one more vote? Are you gonna try for three now and hope the person crossing off the names is a blind idiot? c'mon man. it is all about surpressing a vote. why do you think it is only one party that is pushing for it? If the Dems put up a bill that made those diebold machines have a paper trail every single republican would vote against it just like the hypocrites that they are.

I'm not saying I think it's a must, but I just don't see the downside. Forcing someone to get a state issued ID (something you should have every time you leave the house) can't be a bad thing.

There is no downside for Republicans which is why you don't see a bad side. Duff and I have clearly stated why this is an issue for the GOP.

I guess what you are implying is that I am OK with minorities and students (your words) not being able to vote, which is absolutely not true.

I do find it odd that you equate minorities and students with a vote for democrats. Why is that?

Why do you consider it odd? That is a known fact. I hope you are fucking joking.

Actually, I just wanted you to say it.

I was concerned for your level of intelligence. So you now have no argument.

Of course the GOP gets very little minority and student vote. The GOP is only for the rich and spits on the middle class and the poor.

Carry your state ID every time you leave the house?

The Nazis would agree with you.

Ihre Papiere bitte!

Click your heels,

Jawohl, mein Fuhrer!!!

And get your ID number tattooed on you arm too.

IF there were a problem with people voting under false names, maybee...

But, in court, every State Attorney General has been asked by the Judge:

"How many cases of voter impersonation have every been prosecuted in this state?"

The answer is always, "Well, er, uh.....none."

I said the GOP spits on the poor and middle class. Not that the poor and middle class don't vote for them. Lots of stupid fucks around. Just look around here.

:mj07:

I think i could have said it better but we are both in the same ball park. Go look at Scottys post about his car settlement. Neocon ass kisser after neocon ass kisser congratulating him while these same ignorant fuks champion the pricks who want to limit lawsuits to 200 thousand. go figure.

I guess that means it never happens, then? Kinda like when an officer writes 7 speeding tickets in a day, that must be all of the speeders there were?

How would one go about prosecuting voter fraud?

Really.....?

The obvious reason there are so few cases of voter fraud is that without laws requiring voter identification at the polls it is virtually impossible to prove that a vote has been cast by an person fraudulently!

24 million voter registrations are inaccurate
1.8 million dead people still on voter registration rolls
2.75 million people have voter registrations active in more than one state
51 million people are estimated to be unregistered to vote.

The GOP spits on the middle class? Have you seen what BHO has done to us?

Care to guess what just the cost of my healthcare has gone up in the past three years? For the same/worse coverage?

Obamacare was a kick directly to the nuts of the middle class, but by all means ignore that if it doesn't fit your agenda.

My point is, I believe it is a law that you must produce ID when asked for it by law enforcement.

Do you see how these Democrats are? You are thrown an Insult that more or less accuses you of being a NAZI.

These people that they claim hurts, hopefully have to show ID to get their government benefits.
