I fail to see how your questioning of our involvement in Iraq is showing support for our troops?

Our service folks don't deserve some whining little piss ant crying and complaining about being in Iraq.

They are giving their lives in Iraq because they are serving their country and fighting terrorism over there instead of here on our own soil where it would be if Pres Bush had not be forceful and went after these assholes.

Just because you don't agree with being there, I'm sure our leaders know a hell of alot more than you when it comes to where to fight them and where to take them out. Not to mention we took down a dictator as bad as hitler or stalin was in their day.

AND PLEASE DON'T GIVE ME, BUT THAT'S NOT WHY BUSH SAID WE WENT THEIR

We are at war and our fighting men and women are winning it at the behest of all of us and at the direction of our great president, SO GET OVER IT

CTG were not a war. Bush said it was over and he's right about everything. Well that's streching it. Lets give him 50/50. And yes we should all be remined our folks are over there dieing each week. Seems our press is starting to forget about them. I won't.
And yes it's a chit hole. Hey when it becomes Florida we will call it that. Well maybe we should use a differant example. Say Utah.

you should try getting your facts straight. bush never said that the war is over. he said major fighting is over in iraq.

What's done is done

We have to stay now regardless of the downside

My neighbor is coming back Saturday to his wife and kids after serving. He may even speak his mind on a number of things to a writer for the Chicago Tribune, who may run a column or a series on what he has to say.

Showing blind faith in our leaders could get us killed. Thank God we had people with courage enough to take on the government and take it to the streets to help end and save the lives of countless other American soldiers in Vietnam. We need people with the same courage today to help bring about some sanity in Iraq. We are there but we must get the rest of the world to help put that country together. Even if it means Halliburton loses a contract or two.

:thumb: ---except they left out several other "once terrorist countries that have over to join fight as Yemen did again yesterday.

"On Wednesday, the pan-Arab daily Al-Hayat reported that Sayed Imam el-Sharif, a leading member of Egypt's Islamic Jihad, had been arrested in Yemen. Yemeni officials did not confirm the arrest Thursday.

El-Sharif, founder of the Islamic Jihad, moved to Yemen in 1996 and turned over control of the group to Ayman al-Zawahri, now Al Qaeda's No. 2 leader.

Officials say the security forces are searching for Yemeni and Arab fighters, mainly Egyptians and Saudis, who took refuge in Yemen after fighting in Afghanistan alongside Usama bin Laden in the 1980s.

Yemen has allied itself with the U.S. war on terrorism, allowing American forces to enter the country and train its military. The country, which long has tolerated Muslim extremists, is the ancestral homeland of bin Laden. "

---and a little on Halibuton-Enron ect.
on this very day there are currently 4 trials of procesution going on of corporate heads involved in coruption.
It is amazing how the liberals point fingers about coruption when it is this administration doing the prosecution. I would have to assume they think all these scandels started the day the other administration left.--or is just none were caught or prosecuted then?---its ironic that those that point fingers at an administration procecuting these criminals are the same people that back those that pardoned the the person that carried out the largest income tax evasion in U.S. history.

You liberals need to copy this to file and read it before you ever dare call anyone corupt
---I give you your hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DTB, why dont you try to defend your hero without using the word liberal or Clinton. You cannot defend the actions of your hero so you deflect all shots by pointing out liberals or Clinton. Come on.

I wouldn't say Bush is my hero, but I would say Clinton is evil. Could go on for pages about this guy but hopefully we all know by now. I don't know how he can live with himself.

Pirate Fan it is ok to hate Clinton. And I like the way you said it. You did not defend Bush by attacking Clinton. Like two wrongs must make a right.

Stevie Lots of things I don't like about Bush's policys, and prior to 911 I did not have any real feel on him. However afterwards he came out with his speech and I said bout time someone does something but still did not know if he would follow thru. He has to the letter and for that I applaud him for sticking to his guns and making a lot of decisions he knew would be unpopular. He does not sit on the fence doing nothing taking the easy way out.
Right or wrong --time will tell but I do know one absolute is the terrorist in the world are squirming for the 1st time from actions of numerous countries as a result of Bush--and no way can I see that being bad.
----and on the economy--I find it unbelievable considering inheiriting a depression-911--and 2 wars. In fact it leaves me somewhat sceptical that it is in fact possible. Personally have never had a better year business wise or in the market than 2003.

So in a nutshell that is why I like him.

my sentiments, exactly.

stevie,

if you get a chance you should read a column by former nyc mayor, ed koch. koch is a very liberal democrat who opposes bush on every national policy, but will vote for bush in this year's election. the reason he gives is pretty much similar to the above quote from dtb. he states that he doesn't think the dems. know how to fight the war on terrorism & feels that bush is doing an excellent job with this issue. another well known democrat, zell miller from georgia, also feels that bush is doing a good job on this front & will also vote for bush. these 2 democrats realize every other issue takes a back seat to the war on terrorism.

imo, this war on terrorism, & that includes what happens with iraq, iran, syria, & n. korea is our generations defining moment. very similar to our parents or grandparents stance vs. germany during ww2. bush understands that these thugs cannot be reasoned with & that the only thing they understand is force. now they know we have a leader who will use our military might to fight them. and i say it's about time.
