I've been noticing that Boston seems to be get'n outa the blocks early in their games.
So, I did some anaylsis and found.....in their last 10 games the Celts have scored more points during the 1st half (with only two exceptions).
Then, I looked at Charlotte and found.....in 2 outa every 3 games this season they've scored more points in the 1st half.
Here are the scores...by team...by 1st & 2nd half going from last night to season's start:
---------------------------------------------
Boston
53/54<-(Chi)
48/41
52/32
49/43
51/43
46/39
33/57<-(NJ)
55/44
50/34
39/39
39/52<-(Tor)
43/49<-(Atl)
48/54<-(Atl)
45/48<-(Ind)
50/54<-(Sea)
48/56<-(Wash)
55/50
48/48
39/53<-(NJ)
65/43
To summarize....Boston has scored more during their game's 1st halves in 13 outa 20 games this season. They're averaging 47.8 pts in the 1st and 46.7 in the 2nd.
Charlotte
62/42
53/46
41/37
52/54<-(GS)
45/50<-(Port)
61/39
45/36
48/57<-(Det)
53/51
61/42
65/44
42/36
38/57<-(Wash)
40/47<-(Port)
46/43
48/38
47/46
49/46
37/55<-(Dal)
48/37
51/42
40/60<-(Clev)
To summarize....Charlotte has scored more during their game's 1st halves in 15 outa 22 games averaging 48.8 pts in the 1st and 46.7 pts in the 2nd.
---------------------------------------------
Amazingly both teams average 46.7 points during the second half of games!!!!
->Something for tonight's HT'ers to remember.<-
---------------------------------------------
However, I think there's a real trend here that indicates the Celtic & Hornets score first and concentrate their D during the second half.
Application of the above information:
-1st Half Bos 47.8 + Char 48.8 = 96.6
-2nd Half Bos 46.7 + Char 46.7 = 93.4
-1st + 2nd = 190
Tonight's Bost/Char Total Lines are 94'HT and 187'GAME.
I'll take the OVER 94' 1st half tonight....believing these two teams come out smoke'n with at least their 47 and 48 season averages before half.
GL team....as I fight hard to break outa this week's funk! ez
