it seems that many are quick to dismiss gonzaga as overrated but there is one thing that cannot be ignored with this program.
they are an incredible underdog.
there is no doubt they sometimes do 'just enough to win' as a prohibitive favorite. there were countless times this year where they looked vulnerable when laying double digits. and all of their recent tourney exits have come as a chalk as well.
but slap the underdog tag on them and they seem to play with an against-the-world mentality.
this year alone, they were very profitable as the dog. it should also be noted that morrison had some of his best games when gonzaga was playing a 'better' team.
in maui:
beat maryland outright
beat michigan state outright
lost by 2 but covered the points against uconn
covered for 90% of the game at memphis as the dog
covered at washington as the dog
just something to think about. a definite no-play on this end. but just dont see ucla as free access to the ATM.
