Fort Hood , Texas ... just now seeing the reports coming in ... 12 dead and 30 wounded ... Two are in custody,The main shooter is dead. My first thought was this will soon be a daily routine.
I wonder if the shooters have visited a political forum lately.We all know that they are some that come here to this forum that could very easily do this very thing.

I'm guessing the shooters spent the past few months stocking up on ammunition, "just in case." They probably are just exercising their constitutional rights to bear arms.

That diatribe being said (and probably shouldn't have been, considering the situation), sounds like a horrible situation. I just mentioned the above stuff because I still don't understand some of the "rights" that people are allowed to exercise in the name of some kind of "freedom." Assault rifles, automatic weapons, etc. But I really don't know anything about this, it could be soldiers, or something else entirely. I'm sure we'll know more about it tonight - wall to wall coverage, I'm sure.

SOME people are sick (for sure) and tired, yes. Absolutely no excuse to pull out high-powered rifles and shoot a bunch of people, though. Tough times are not a license to kill people, for God sakes...



It's the multiple shooter angle that's intriguing. Wonder if it was a group or a couple of people, planning some kind of glory spree. Could be terrorism, maybe, since it's on a military base? That would be an issue, for sure. Doesn't seem like a student/Columbine kind of thing, with the military angle.

We have to protect ourselves from the government. You dont own a gun? I only have two for hunting, but if we lose midterm elections. I will be purchasing an assault rifle to protect my family. Its our right last I heard Chad.
