Paterno should have been gone long ago, but I hope he is around for another dozen years for Iowa to have a nice win everytime we play them.

Mason and Zook will be at their respective schools for at least the next 3-5 years, IMO. And Mason has done a great job at Minny--NO facilities at all--new on-campus stadium coming in 2009--after that they might dump him, but not before. Illinois is another place with horrible facilities--you ever been to Memorial Stadium?--our high schools in town play at nicer fields--and of the 90 or so players on that squad, 65 are either 1st or 2nd year players there. Zook will get at least 3 years to improve with all those new players and if he can't get it done, then they will look to replace him--and as long as the basketball team does well, he may get more time than that.

to mention either bowden or paterno in this thread is ridiculous. they both brought their respective programs to national recognition. 2 of the greatest coaches of all time & both have earned the right to step away when they feel it is the right time.

i would put coker, groom, amato, & fullmer at the top of any list of coaches who will be terminated sometime soon.

Coach O at Ole Miss is starting to feel a little warm. He got killed by Mizzu and lost to Kentucky. Not to mention, he got plowed by MSU at the end of the year last year which will not sit well with the folks of the Magnolia state.

Speaking of Kentucky, baring some miracle wins, Brooks is gone at the end of the season also.

Rumors spreading like wildfire down here that Stoops is already the next coach of the Dallas Cowboys and replaces Tuna after this season

while I can understand people's animosity about Amato, the guy took a "who's that" school to a bowl game 5 out of 6 years...he steps on some toes in the process, but considering where NC State was 7 years ago, I'd say thats improvement. Win 3 or less this season (definitely feasible) and then I might buy into it. It amazes me that Bunting at UNC has a far worse record and has yet to be listed by mainstream media.

Sun,

I bet B Stoops brings his brother Mike to Dallas before they run him off from Arizona.

CEO has at least one more season. Nobody expects him to turn it around in two seasons.

Realistic OM fans knew this season would be tough. He started (or played significant time) 15 freshmen and 6 juco players in their first D1 season. He is throwing the young players to the fire in an effort ot get experience for next year.

A terrible season next year and the experiment will be over.

Who, aside from that shitbag Geoff Ketchum, have you heard this from?

Is Ketchum still making jokes about Adrian Peterson's dad getting raped in prison?

What a piece of shit he is. He represents the Longhorns well.

Dude, Mike Stoops is not going anywhere. They beat BYU @ home, which looks better after their showing @ BC. They did get bushwacked @ LSU, but I don't recall many teams having success there recently. This is the start of his 3rd season- Mackovick brought this program to its knees and he had to start w/absolutely nada. I would be surprised if they don't make a bowl game this year. They are getting talent and they will knock off some people this year.
